IMO, it's always the right thing to ask permission, if that's not possible, then give credit, but be prepared if the originator says 'no' to concede to his wishes
As far as posting something like audio, hard to speak for Casey, and it's a subject that is divisive. Even though it's inevitable, I'm on the side of giving Casey the chance to move some units before it's made readily available by posting it to youtube so people aren't compelled to purchase the iTune. But again, it's the world we live in that audio will evenutally be posted (see CHFIL)
As it is, if you leave it 'unlisted', not readily available to searches, then at least it's exposure is limited IMO
