I read/heard somewhere that Harry would scat to Haley even as a Baby and she would mimic the sounds back to him... I think improvisation, not only in Jazz, has been part of her musical make up starting w/ her parents (Lead guitarists improvise all the time during guitar solos)
That sounds more likely. I'm glad that Haley and Casey have have the tremendous relationship they have but sometimes I think Casey is given too much credit for being the catalyst in their musical relationship. In terms of improvisation in their AI run, I thought it was far more evident in Haley than in Casey (Oh Darling, GBTC, and Moanin).
