Well, tonight was just awesome, a great free event! The entire Hard Rock was full, I was seated at a table with a couple who were American Idol fans, Casey fans (the husband was wearing Casey's t-shirt) in particular, they knew almost as much about the show, Haley and Casey as I do. It's fun to be among people who are as obsessed as me. The other gal at our table was younger, and knew of Haley from PMJ, she and the couple were also at the PMJ concert in December. The young woman was very disappointed Haley wasn't at the show, but the couple were happy with Casey, Joey and Blake. There were lots of families with kids, lots of younger (20's) single men and women, all types of people as usual really.
The set list:
My Cake, Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay, Love Is Worth Fighting For, Can't Find My Way Home, Better and Can't Help Falling In Love.
CFMWH: Quintin didn't really know the song, and I think couldn't get the music pulled up, so he kind of winged it. He ended up going a little fast and loud for the more laid back version we've seen before, so Haley kind of jumped in and went with it. She scatted a bit, and really jazzed it up. I hope someone posts that performance. A lot of people were recording. A teen age girl in front of me promised to post all her videos to the radio station FB page.
Right after the concert, the DJs asked her some questions, mostly about American Idol. Someone asked what kind of candy she'd be and she said a lollipop or sucker, because they're brightly colored, they quench your thirst, they are tasty, lol. Someone asked a question, I don't remember what, but it led to Haley saying she is into metaphysical stuff and spirituality. This makes me so happy, and confirms something I've suspected about her all along.

Someone else asked if she's seen ghosts, and she told the story about when she was a kid, she'd see what she thought was her dad walking by the kitchen, and later found out it couldn't have been him. They thought it must be her grandfathers ghost. I believe she's told this story before.
After, there was a huge long line for pictures, the radio station had a professional photographer there, and will post them on their FB page. I hung back as long as possible, almost at the very end of the line. I had my CD Steve gave me which is signed by Angie, Patti and Harry, and I brought a sharpee, but when I got up there, the guy guarding the entrance to the room Haley was in, said no autographs and I was too chicken to ask once I got up there. I also forgot to ask my question about Good or Bad being on the album, because I lose my mind around Haley and basically forget how to speak. All I could mutter was, "You know Steve, I met you at his party" and she knew I was talking about Halien shindig #1, and said she remembered me from that. I gave her a couple of presents, one of which (a red jasper wrist mala with a buddha on it) she took out of the bag and said, "Oh I really like this!". So...that makes me happy. I bought one for myself too, lol. They took our picture which I mugged for because I hate having my pic taken.

I told Haley thank you so much for coming to Denver, she said thank you for the gift, then I ran away thinking about all the things I was supposed to say. Part of it is Haley, and part of it is I don't normally do big crowds - I find it hard to focus and keep calm.
