Just like the initial report, this is only a part of the story, I don't think you can be charged w/ battery unless there's evidence, a bruise, some blood, or in this case, a black eye. Something happened, but you can't say this if there is a charge of battery, which means there is evidence of battery.
Either way, the 'bigger' picture is how the Lamplighter runs it's business, the type of people they hire to be bouncers, if they over serve and ALL the previous complaints will be reviewed to look for a pattern...
Also, if it turns out the findings do find fault with the Lamplighter for running basically a criminal enterprise, over serving, violence against patrons, over use of Police resources....don't be surprised if past customers who have been similarly abused will also be filing lawsuits, for any physical damages, hospital bills and 'emotional distress'
The Lamplighter will probably not survive this....
addendum.... The Police department in that jurisdiction could be in hot water too if it turns out they've been looking the other way while they collect fines to fill their local coffers....I'm not saying they may be complicit...but...actually, i am saying they may be complicit
notice...there was no report of injury until Dina leveled charges forcing them to 'investigate' further, days went by before the Police dept announced the injured party...*complicity?*
