Different strokes, different folks, I don't think Haley's support and reverence for it's message is political, she's pretty much said as much, that it's about loving one another to her
I've loved the Beatles forever, as a young child I didn't see it as political when I first heard the song, same as Haley (or at least my interpretation) what I hear is the wish that people would just get along, life's too short and too precious to let hate drive you

Not true, I've let some of the posts stay, have deleted the ones that have got aggressive or vile, but thanks for the assumption

I'm a big fan, but if you actually read the words of the song it sounds like it was written by Stalin: "Let's do away with all those various and pesky religions, national identities, and value systems and then things will be great when everybody is just like me."

An adult human being has to have some kind of world view and a human society needs some kind of government. Looks to me like the song is saying we all have to share a single world view and a single world government so there will be nothing left to fight about. Sounds a bit restrictive. And some of the greatest crimes against humanity were perpetrated by people who were trying to do away with religion.
I don't mind when the discourse is intellectual, when it's just antagonistic or obviously ignorant... I think it's my prerogative to remove them?
Lÿndsey Parker from Yahoo had been tweeting videos relating to the events in Virginia including,
GENESIS - Land of Confusion (1986)
Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Two Tribes (Video Destructo Mix)
Men At Work - It's a Mistake
Elvis Costello & The Attractions - (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding)
So I tweeted her this...
