He had a rough night.

Unfortunately for everyone’s favorite sad clown, Puddles, not everyone was capable of winning Cowell over with their voice. The notoriously weepy clown took the stage to do his usual gimmick, singing with the voice of an angel. However, his song choice was more contemporary in the live shows and Simon realized quickly that he was a bit off key. As a result, he earned the first “X” of the night. Howie Mandel and Mel B sharply disagreed, but Heidi Klum agreed with Simon, arguing that the world needs happy clowns right now.

Just Jerk was followed by the vocal stylings of Puddles Pity Party, who sang Lorde‘s “Royals.” He got buzzed by Simon.

Simon said, “I just couldn’t get in your world tonight. I am afraid that is why you got the X and I am not going to be popular.” Howie said, “I love you. I, too, am a clown who is sad inside. You are unique and different.” Mel B agreed with Howie, saying, “I can’t wait for you to come on stage because I never know how you are going to style a song.” Heidi agreed with Simon. She preferred to see a happy clown.

YT comments about Puddles' AGT Royals:

After the first bar they dropped the sound on his mic making him to have to force his singing. Go and listen to the version of this song he did independently. This was a set up to bring him down. This is a dirty filthy trick they pulled on him. Because he doesn't fit into the box of what they are looking for they every so very cleverly attempted to sabotage him. I am excellent ears and am a performer. I immediately said to myself what are they doing with his sound? Then the x buzzer went off. The rest any person with a brain can work out.

Fake news and now fake talent shows. Disgusting.

Puddles' Post Modern Jukebox version is unrushed, about a minute longer than his AGT performance. The piano piece on AGT also hits different notes
which makes it sound out of tune (possibly intentionally). I was looking forward to
him performing Royals, especially since that is how I found PMJ but it
seems like they are clearing the path for a showdown between 9 year
olds Celine Tam and Angelica Hale.

Mistake 1, storming off the stage then Tyra stopped him. Mistake 2, did.not take criticism well. Mistake 3, sticking his tongue out like a Little Kid in the Sandbox. He did better in previous appearances. If he gets eliminated it is his doing. Am losing respect.for this behavior
