I think the point of the singles is to raise exposure on Spotify and such by being discovered during searches or added to lists. They are in effect a promotion vehicle. Haley's voice gives her an advantage when it comes to being added to lists.
I personally liked that she changed up the song "Bulletproof" so much, but I don't know if that helps in getting added to a list as the person putting it together might be looking for a song title they know because they're in a particular mood.
