This may not be the thread to discuss this, but since Tusk has raised the point and Haley has stated she grew up hearing all sorts of music, but the Beatles have had a particular influence, I've decided to (finally) mention something that has intrigued me for awhile -- and that is timeline and musical influence.
The Beatles, as a group, had split up 21 years before before Haley was born. Assuming that Haley's parents were in their twenties, perhaps late twenties, when the bouncing, baby Haley first graced the world, that means that Haley's parents, if born, would have been quite young during the Beatles heyday. Which suggests to me that Haley's grandparents might have laid the groundwork (although she has never mentioned that). If correct, then 3 generations listening to this group that those of my mother's generation frequently sniffed "would
never last" isn't bad.
