Thnx for the new 720p Vids dude Cool
I especially missed Haley's bit of "If I Were a Boy" Heart (not to mention that red number with the garter Big Grin )

Now you can make a 'virtual' "Haley's Journey" for everyone Heart

RE: Haley shrines, temples, homages...
Just a great bunch of talented singers. Season 10 was the best.
They all seemed to get along so well. Once season 10 ended, Idol never
seemed the same. Loved the girls...Haley & Pia, and the underrated Karen Rodriguez.

S10it was the launch site for some pretty talented people Haley, Pia James, Casey. If Haley would have made it to season nine she would've never met Casey they would've never been able to collaborate together. I watched just a little bit of season nine at the very end and the only reason why I watched season 10 was because I was turning the channel and I saw this cute little blonde singing. That was the point of captivation. From that point had there's no turning back as far as following her career and cheering her on.

MidNight, I don't know that I've ever truly articulated it here on this site, but I recognized fairly early on, whenever there was a mention of Haley's earlier try out, that had she made to that season, we would never, or, at least far less likely, had known what the Caley (Hasey??) would have given the world.

While we know that Haley was quite hurt over the result of her first AI audition, we (including Haley) benefitted from her being a contestant the next year. And ... well ... as we know H.E.R. would say "every thing happens for a reason...." :-)

Well in Season 9 it would have been very unlikely that both Lee DeWyze and Haley Reinhart would get a hometown celebration since the Chicago vote would have been split and if Arlington Racetrack was the main performance venue, what would they do have Haley perform in front of the Grandstand and have Lee perform behind it with all the horse shit? We would have had gridlock here with parades going on in two adjacent towns.

it would have been gridlocked. Haley's philosophy of whatever will be will be is her way to stay positive and focused. The problem is sometimes the streetcar goes off the tracks. And when it does it take discipline to get back on. All things do happen in their own time whether they're good or bad. Harry and Patty injected some very strong ethics into their kids. And when it was time for Haley to pull out the guns she was prepared. Season nine didn't work, but she prospered in season 10.

RE: Haley shrines, temples, homages...
It's strange to think Haley might have been on season 9. That season I was mad crazy for Siobhan. I wonder if Haley would have changed my feelings back then. Once season 10 came around and I finally did find Haley, Siobhan quickly became a thing of the past. So who knows. In any case, looking back on it now, Haley was meant to be in season 10 with that group of people. It seems so right in retrospect.

RE: Haley shrines, temples, homages...
Everything really fell into place in S10 starting with Simon leaving (he was bored and didn't care in S9...so I've heard, didn't watch it) AND Steven Tyler came aboard to give her that much needed support from the Judge's corner.

BTW...I didn't care or watch S9... I get that Siobhan was quirky, and different from the 'ballad' type singers usually on AI, but this hubub about Haley stealing HOTRS a capella beginning?

I finally got to watch Siobhan's HOTRS, and, yes I'm Very biased, but....it doesn't come close at all in magnitude, power or finesse compared to Haley's HOTRS... Not even a fair comparison IMO HuhTongue

IMO Siobhan did a cover of the Animal's HOTRS
Haley on the other hand, tore that song down and build it to climax ...compare their endings? She re invented it, just like she re invented BATJ. Cool

RE: Haley shrines, temples, homages...
^I actually got into trouble on Facebook about the whole Siobhan vs. Haley and HOTRS thing. I defended Haley and said she did the song great and caught all kinds of hell over it. I even got a temporary ban from a Siobhan fansite because of the brouhaha. Needless to say, that episode was the beginning of the end of Siobhan and me. LOL.

I used to think Siobhan was the bee's knees. Now she just bores me senseless.

I try, but I really don't get it with her? Not to be mean, and like I said, didn't pay attention S9 so no 'war' history, she really felt like a 'cover' singer to me, the few performances I saw.

Anyways, she is talented and alot of people like her. I just knew there was an uproar way back when then decided to look it up. IMO, their covers were Night and Day different.... Exclamation

(BTW, just noticed those vids ^^^.... Siobhan's has a whitish, ice blue cast and Haley's is flaming, fiery red. Siobhan's is a pleasant placid, Icy cover and Haley is the Fiery Furnace Blast. Fire and Ice Exclamation CoolBig GrinBig Grin

....I thought that was somehow appropriate and ironic at the same time Cool )
