I have thought that Prince modeled some of his looks after Little Richard, one who also crossed sexual boundaries decades ago.

This seems more realistic to me, than a Mercury comparison.

Just read this article (http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/22/entertainm...index.html) on CNN. I had not realized that Michael Jackson and Prince were the same age.
