It's sound very much like something else that I can't put my finger on right now, but it's definitely a listenable, danceable tune.

I'm not sure if it's on this song, but one of their preambles was they used to have the same manager (maybe how they met) who, when they heard Mark and Dylan sing together, no matter what style, even 'Heavy Metal', their manager would say they sounded like "Hall and Oates"

So they had an inside joke between them that they were "Ball and Doates"
(nobody laughed initially, not quite getting the reference which made Mark comment, "well, we thought it was funny" )

They said they had many a night where they'd jot down song/duet ideas. Before this performance, they decided to 'finish' one of them to perform this night

There are probably a lot of tunes that are a result of what Mark talked about -- and, unfortunately, we may not hear of those beginnings. What makes it unfortunate is that it's often very interesting and an integral part of what makes up the song.
