Contestants in the earlier rounds have complained a bit. (Which is where they were jealous of Usher's team.) But I understand the coaches plight at that time. They usually have 6-12 people they need to split their time behind, and they have to cut those people.

Shakira for example, likes to keep contestants at an arms length at that stage, because it's very hard for her to cut them. It also allows her to not have favorites going into the battles/knockouts, which allows her to coach more fairly. (And has been one of the most consistent in picking a winner of battles/knockouts because of it. And her standards are simple. ) So I'm understanding.

But pretty much any contestant that makes the lives has extremely positive things to say about their experiences with the coaches. Which makes the show for me.

And speaking of Adam. He's currently on a crusade against Republic Records for their mistreatment of Voice contestants. Someone needed to speak up, so I'm glad he's doing it. (And I think Republic's treatment of Matt McAndrew and Chris Jamison started his ranting. But he won't let up, either. And even Blake and Pharrell have said something now.)
