I had that same thought Tom. Album is loaded with the kind of music that advertisers could make good use of.

Yeah, as I listen to the album soo many of the songs really seem perfect for public places and commercial syncing.

I'm listening to the jazzy "summer afternoon" and I can hear it it in sooo many placements .... segments of it are so perfect for a 'wrap' to as story or something ... (like phase in music and credits etc)... but also stores etc.

I really can't limit that statement to any one song on the album though... all of them really have a positive, boosting sound.

Loving Haley's new album. Anyone know why some songs were released in Haley's Vevo channel and others in her Haley Reinhart channel? In any case, I am very happy that Haley released "What's That Sound" on YouTube to build her channels. Great move.

I was nervous that "These Boots are Made for Walkin" had been overdone. But, Haley made it her own. I think it even deserves a video. I can see Haley, attitude and all strutting to the song. If nothing else, I hope Haley choreographs the song to blow her on tour audiences away. In my opinion, "These Boot's are Made for Walkin" captures a lot of what makes Haley great and unique.

Overall, an album worthy of Haley's third album and a huge step forward in her musical journey. 5 Stars.

Where Oh where is "What's that Sound?" Where oh where can it be? When I heard that Target was featuring Haley's album with extra tracks that was cool and convenient because my condo community is only a block away, no sweat, I thought, I'll just meander in there on the 22nd and pick a few extra CD's up. Now forgive me is I digress a little. When "Listen Up" was released it was Walmart that had the exclusive extra tracks but the Walmart's in my area would not display the album well so I would sneak a few up and place them on the new release display rake. I even asked the lady in charge of the electronic section if she would help out with my little Halien fetish; she reply that the store employee's didn't stock the CD'S, a vendor was in charge of that. Back to target; they only carried the ten track "Listen Up" but it was displayed well. At that time their were three racks of CD's and there placement was at the front of the store by the front doors. You couldn't miss them as you walked in. Well times they are a changing, CD's are on one row, in the corner next to the side wall, almost out of site. They were out of stock however, one hour after opening, as was the Target ten miles North so I got on the cell phone and had the Target in the next county hold a couple for me. You know what I think these stores in Utah are only stocking three. They don't know us Halien's to well do they. hehe
Anyway the sixty miles on the road was way worth it to me, cause I think just maybe, and I don't usually do this because geesh how can you pick, but just maybe "Light my Fire" and "Let's Live For Today" are my two fav's on the album. Randy is always telling me how he chokes up on Haley's songs, "Let's Live For Today" did that for me today. I just love, love, love how she arranged those two......Ok I take that back I don't really have any fav's...

It is so much fun to read all of your accounts and first impressions!!!

A Halien miracle happened to close my day and I could listen to the bonus tracks on this side of the Atlantic, making it perfect (it is already well past midnight here). Yes!! I say!!! -- "Let's Live for Today" might well be my 2nd-favorite song on this album. I see what you're saying, Tusk, with good reasons, but I think the regular album could have closed strongly with these as well. LMF is something to explore more than once, I think - jazzy hints and psychedelic undercurrents and orchestral strings ... this whole album is a rich and multi-dimensional substrate for Haley's voice to shine which has such a rich blend of sounds for us to enjoy. Babbling again, this stuff is in territory where I don't have words. Luckily, ears don't need words!

Now I feel bad that have I bought the only 2 remaining copies of WTS in the nearest Target to me. I gave it no thought because no CD had more than 2 or 3 copies displayed. I just figured they'd stock more. Haley's record was super easy to find-- right on the top row of the New Releases, next to Fergie's CD (which only had 3 or 4 copies on the rack). They printed a tag attached to the rack with her name on it. Seems like a lot of work to go thru if they only have a few copies. Maybe if Haliens buy up all the copies, they'll order more??

I was thinking of buying more copies from the other Target in my town and then gift them to Haliens outside the U.S if they want them.

Hmmm, one online re-seller here in Europe has the following interesting description of Haley and the album which I don't think I've seen before - I wonder who wrote it. And no mention of American Idol at all! Though a big fail in calling it her "first solo album".
