This is where Goldblum went after the interview, he was presented the Icon Award by Tom Hiddleston. Here he is w/ other big names in the Marvel Cinematic Universe....eventually Haley's expanding network could land her a movie cameo maybe? Tongue

I still maintain she'd make an excellent "Dazzler" in the marvel universe....a mutant singer who converts sound into energy

Jeff Goldblum And The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra Release First Singles From Debut Jazz Album ‘The Capitol Studios Sessions’
SEPTEMBER 6, 2018

[...]
BBC Radio 2 yesterday debuted the first single to be released from ‘The Capitol Studios Sessions’, which is set to come out on November 9. ‘My Baby Just Cares For Me’ features vocals from Haley Reinhart, and is a cool live jazz (of course) interpetation of the Nina Simone standard. It’s got some really great interplay between Goldblum and Reinhart, at the start, and is just…cool. Slickly cool and fun.

When I first heard the song I thought of JLo's comment after Moanin' - "Sounded like they've been doing it all their lives" in reference to the chemistry. Haley always has chemistry; she brings it. And it's no different with Jeff especially since they are, in her estimation, kindred spirits. Wink

Jeff Goldblum details debut jazz album, The Capitol Studios Sessions
[...]
“I love improvising and that feeling of communication and interplay,” Goldblum explained in a press release. “It’s one of the cornerstones of my acting technique. I see my music in the same way.”

Joining in for this unique recording experience were singers like Irish superstar Imelda May (“Straighten Up & Fly Right)” and former American Idol standout Haley Reinhart (“My Baby Just Cares for Me”). Comedian Sarah Silverman also features on the 1920 classic “Me and My Shadow”, while Grammy-winning trumpetest Till Brönner appears throughout.
[...]

Interesting how Imelda May and Haley are characterized by this writer. Imelda is a superstar. Huh? I like some of Imelda's work and her overall sound but superstar? Her most viewed YT video has 3.6 million views and has been post for 8 years. Her most popular song on Spotify has 4.7 million streams (her cover of Tainted Love). So she apparently makes up for her lack of popularity in having a certain "coolness" factor. She also benefits a less competitive overseas (for example she gets featured on the tele and BBC radio).

In contrast to Imelda, Haley gets stuck with the AI label despite having a song with 25 times more streams than Imelda's best effort. Underplayed versus overplayed. And we know who's song is the featured as the first release. The article above this one has it right.

Jeff is a popular guest for late night shows and daytime talk shows. I think there is a good chance Haley will sing MBJCFM with him on at least one of these shows as he does promo for the project.

RE: Haley appeared with Jeff Goldblum tonight (5/18/18) in a recorded performance
The article does qualify “Irish” in front of “Superstar” which could also be interpreted as she is a superstar in Ireland, as opposed to a world wide superstar *who is Irish*. I’m not caught up on Irish singers, but I have heard of Imelda if that means anything?

From that VEVO clip of the show they recorded for the album, I actually liked her tone from the bit I heard. I know Sarah Silverman is a comedienne primarily, but tbh hearing a snippet of her singing made me....pause? I had opposing reactions to hearing snippets of Imelda and Sarah singing Tongue
Haley did get more 'air time' in that video than Imelda or Sarah, they used MBJCFM as the background music....

Bigger picture though, it is the song Haley is singing on that is the first single from Jeff’s album, each interview I’ve heard Jeff list Haley, he has made some mention of how special she is even saying “...Haley Reinhart, of course”... as if people would know/expect him to mention her. In the music festival she performed in California, he called Haley the "The greatest singer in the whole world" when he introduced her on stage.

In the end, to the *world*, outside of CHFIL & Creep, Haley is really mostly known for Idol, and we know what most people, most artists, think about reality TV shows Tongue . What I prefer to listen to is the talent she works with. What do people who have worked w/ Haley on a professional level feel about Haley?

IMO Jeff Goldblum thinks extremely highly of Haley, instead of "Irish Superstar" Imelda May to be the first voice put out to the public on his debut Jazz album, his first foray as a 'legit' recording artist, he has chosen Haley to be that voice.

Reading between the lines, for someone he's basically 'just met' professionally, he's publicly been extremely complimentary of Haley to a fan base that has likely not heard of her before (globally). It helps that her banter is completely in line w/ the act that Goldblum himself said in the video is what he likes to do in the act. So much so, the album producer felt it was important to capture on the album. Haley is incredibly, playfully cute on MBJCFM and will likely translate very well when they perform live to promote the album.

Even though it seems Jeff's appearances to promote his album seems few, for now, I still expect Haley to be performing w/ Jeff at other venues after the album drops. Angel

This could be Haley's best chance yet to finally get decent TV time on one of the bigger talk shows Cool

Bono is an *Irish* Superstar. Imelda might be a popular singer but that's about it.

Bands like U2, the Cranberries (RIP Dolores O’Riordan), and the Pogues, among others have far more streams, views and sales of music. They are Irish stars. The Cranberries have more than 500 million Spotify streams, for example.

RE: Haley appeared with Jeff Goldblum tonight (5/18/18) in a recorded performance
point being this is the only time I've seen any 'highlight' placed on Imelda while, and I do understand I wear Haley tinted glasses, Jeff himself appears to highlight Haley multiple times. So one article describes Imelda as a Superstar, I'll take Jeff himself calling Haley "The Greatest Singer in the Whole World"...both hyperbolic declarations (I can imagine people scoffing at Jeff's declaration, *in the whole world*), but Jeff, Decca and their people are trying to hype this release up, I'd expect a bit of hyperbole in the execution, using words like, best, greatest, even "superstar"? Tongue

That performance should get a Grammy nom. Also- my dream of seeing Haley on SNL would be a nice result for this album. Jeff could do one song with Sarah Silverman and one with Haley. Cool
