On a Windows computer, you can copy and paste text by highlighting it and pressing the keys (Ctrl+C) to copy it from one window and (Ctrl+V) to paste it in another.
This applies to URLS in the address bar of your browser too. If an image is on the Internet, you can generally mouse over it, right click on your mouse and select "view image" to isolate it and see its location. Some browsers will let you right click and select "copy image location."
If an image is not on the Internet, or you don't trust it will remain up, you can right click on "save image as" to save it to your hard drive. You would then need to upload it to the Internet. There are sites like
http://www.imageshack.us that specialize in image hosting. You can set up a free account with them.
Then you can click on the icons to the right above the post to automatically apply the code you want to the text you've highlighted in your post. If you hold your cursor over the icons for a second a description will pop up (insert image, insert hyperlink, insert quoted text).
