Oldie but Goodie

I'm putting this under "International Success" because I think Adam Lambert is from... I dunno... um... someplace else?

Quote:Shirley Halperin of The Hollywood Reporter: "And as season 10 winds down, Adam clearly has a lot to say about the top six finalists, first and foremost, his current favorite: Haley Reinhart. “I love Haley so much because musically and vocally, she’s doing things that are at a top-notch level,” he told THR at Wednesday’s ASCAP Pop Music Awards, where Adam introduced Songwriter of the Year winner Max Martin. “It’s incredible how Haley makes it look so easy and effortless. Plus, she’s having fun up there. I don’t feel like she’s working so hard to prove herself or to prove a point. She’s just singing and taking joy in music.”

But when it comes to Haley, Adam does take issue with judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson — he doesn’t think they foist enough positive reinforcement on the girl. “I wish the judges gave her a little bit more praise because what she’s doing is technically superb,” he says."

First bolded quote: Adam would know because he has the vocal chops to match her! (I just wish he was doing better music to showcase his phenomenal chops!)

Second bolded quote: Ah, such a diplomatic approach! (Again, Adam knew the technical aspects that neither Randy nor J-Lo get, because Randy wasn't a singer, and J-Lo, well, she's not a singer either, despite the persistent recordings she keeps making.)

P.S. OK - I know that J-Lo remark was really snarky, but I'm not going to retract it.)

Some are pointing at this article about Breezy (Haley's drummer) performing at Lollapalooza as a 'hint' that Haley might go international

MI Alumni

Quote:Brandon Anderson (Drums '07), who performs under the name "Breezy Lovejoy," is currently performing with American Idol finalist Haley Reinhart, signed to Interscope Records. With Haley, Brandon has played the American Idol stage and has appeared with Haley on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Currently on tour throughout the United States, Brandon will perform with Haley at Lollapalooza this summer and will travel internationally.

I think the article means it will be Breezy who will perform/travel Internationally, not necessarily Haley Tongue

Edit: sorry didn't fully read your post...you were referring to the album and not Haley...well she would perform internationally to support the album's international release, so it's 'kinda' related .... Big Grin

This interview was the most recent I could find with Haley referencing an international release,(other than when she said those 2 new songs were supposed to be for international release) unfortunately, nothing specific
Jon Ali Interview

Quote:Jon: This question came up a lot. Do you plan on releasing the album overseas or anywhere else?

Haley: I would really really hope so. It’s definitely going to happen, I just don’t know when. We will probably get different tracks on those releases as well so I would really hope so. I love to travel so It would be great to get it out there.

Jon: You have a lot of fans from around the world so that would be great. I’m sure they will be happy to hear the news

Haley: Yeah, I would love it.

RE: Haley Reinhart - International Success
The market for the music industry in the United States is huge. Seems like after every talent show the winner and the runners-up are all trying to land a record deal and those in between. Haley might have a better chance if she did go internationally. And I believe in the UK you only need 100,000 to go gold I'm not sure about that I'll have to look it up. Haley is gaining popularity very slowly, but she's also consistent. I could see Haley playing at the Royal Albert Hall to a sold-out crowd.

RE: Haley Reinhart - International Success
I just see people internationally post on twitter and facebook all the time wanting to know when her album will be available. I wonder what it would cost interscope to make her album available on itunes worldwide. She needs to focus on U.S sales and a U.S tour for now, but I wish it was at least available for more countries. I feel like she has a more popular international fan base then past idols have had.

RE: Haley Reinhart - International Success
Especially of the season 10 Idols as far as international appeal....maybe James has a shot with the intl. metal fans, and perhaps Stefano might catch on if IOAR gets picked up by the clubs.

Probably not since Lambert has there been an Idol with Haley's international potential/appeal.
