...“He’s done the singing and we’ve had a lot of country on the show – obviously, my season,” Haley says and Colton is right along with her. “[American Idol] has never had a country judge… I really respect Keith as a person, not just as a musician and an artist,” he tells OK!, “I think he would have really great things to say.”

According to our friends at MouthToEars.com, producers ended the auditions for the day so the two judges could cool down. We've confirmed that happened.
Big wigs on the show seem uncharacteristically upset by the blow up. It seems producers are worried about Mariah and Nicki co-existing for the long haul.

Well put ! MAE ... I didn't/don't know who this nikki person is but all the reports I heard about her were that she thrived in rude vulgarity.
You would think that they'd expect to get what they paid for.
I was assuming that the rude/vulgairty routine was a comic act sort of like don rickles made insults his thing... maybe not?

yes, lol, I'd say there was something to worry about. Hope the contract had a "cut" clause in it so the contestants won't need to eat peanutbutter sadwiches to pay for some budget hole caused by a vulgar ex-judge's salary.

Nigel Lythgoe tells TMZ, "The statement [that Nicki made a death threat] is absolute rubbish. It's absolutely not true in any way, shape or form." Nigel adds that Mariah confronted Nicki this morning and asked if she made the death threat and Nicki said absolutely not. Nigel says Mariah's people are stirring the pot and gave her bad info.
