I assume Chiara is with Haley. They may have taken a day trip or stopped somewhere on the way up. She tweeted this photo 40 minutes ago.

Holy California.

They probably started the day in Santa Barbara or someplace nearby there on the coast (presuming that's where the photo is from as well). (One of Haley's friends tweeted she had a performance in SB last night. Maybe a winery there (she mentioned she was doing winery events during her Stageit concert). Though they may have just staged there for the trip to VSJ). [The Villa San-Julliette event seems to be an evening event as John was still in transit around 2pm]

John Notto subsequently created an Instagram that referred to a fundraiser. I searched for "Fundraiser" and "Santa Barbara" looking for images to match up to the images he included. No luck.

I just needed to be patient. The fundraising folks tweeted Haley a short time ago:

I reviewed some of their past newsletters to see if there was mention of an annual event in October.

I didn't find anything. What I found most interesting was the listing of "dreams." Some of them are very modest. One that struck me was "driving lessons for his wife." My mother obtained a driver's license 40 years ago, but she's never really driven. She's dependent upon my father to get around.
