Haley in NYC - March 8, 2013

Kind of a strange place for recording Haley and Keith. Especially since they both flew in for the job. and I believe this was in the early morning too! By 9:30am Keith was tweeting that it was over and he was going home.

Keith had indicated prior to the show it was a "tv" thing. The Oxygen Network, Food Network and the local New York City cable station NY1 are located there. Maybe they filmed, then Keith and Haley did this. Or maybe they were filming this. I was wondering if the two photographers were working together. One was focused on Haley and the other mostly on the crowd. It crossed my mind they might be putting together something for later.

Yes, that's what they were doing.

The buzz was they were filming a segment for a show.

Possibly a PSA since it looks like they staged a busking scene (and from the description in the youtube).

BTW, from other comments, it was not that early in the morning. They finished around 12 Eastern time.

Haley is funny with all the hand movements. LOL. Without a mic she practically acts out the whole song. I love ya, Hales!

By the way, I suspect his tag of MusiCaresUSA was incorrect and it's actually @MusiCares (MusiCares Foundation) which is part of the Grammy organization. http://www.grammy.org/musicares

It's a bit confusing since the Grammy Foundation would have more of a role in music education (which is what the poster of the video said it was for: "help raise money for music education sponsored by motorola") than MusiCares Foundation that tends to medical needs of musicians.

(Also wonder why he tagged international women's day? #iwd).

LOL I wonder if she started the performance, 'incognito', in disguise, then made a reveal further in...

"wait a minute?? That's Haley Reinhart!!!"
(It was all fairly secretive so people might not have expected her or went to specifically see her)

I remember a show where Jewel disguised herself and went to a Kareoke bar to sing "Jewel's songs"... She later revealed herself to the surprise of all who attended. They couldn't believe this plain Jane was so good, and then they found out why
