^ you make a valid point at the ineptitude of the Mariners. Until the Twins won the 1987 WS we never had a winner in Minnesota...not counting the Minneapolis Lakers (forerunners of the LA Lakers) who won 5 NBA championships in the 40s and 50s. Still, we could really use Felix Hernandez here in Minnesota as we have no ace on this staff.

I did have a great time yesterday watching outdoor baseball in Minnesota. Enjoyed the sweep of the White Sox...which I will remind Haley was the only thing I found not perfect about her...she's a White Sox fan!

Ouch...that really cuts deep...all these years and it's me that could have the problem. If I'm misguided that would call everything into question that I've held sacred. The horror of it all.

The world may not be flat. When it's summer in North America it could be snowing on lovinghaleyr. Randy Jackson is probably a really nice guy. There's no need to rotate my tires. ...back to the thread topic....

Well, somewhere in the last two pages, I reported that I got there early, before they opened up the gates and tweeted to #MarinersDJ at least 5 times and they never played it, so I was disappointed. I looked at what other people sent in for suggestions, but they didn't get played either. In fact, some of the songs they DID play, I didn't see a request for, so I'm not sure what's going on with that system....

I tweeted some pics of the stadium and they displayed one of my tweets on their new HD screen, but I couldn't get my camera ready in time to take a picture of that

On the other hand, it was a great game, got to see a win, got to see our future stars contribute significantly, got to see the M's lose a lead and fight back to win, so all in all I still had a good time.

I'm glad I didn't go ahead with the idea of bringing some kind of gesture of thanks because I had a feeling in my bones that I had to keep my expectations low, and not go OTT until I see my goal's fruition. I did stop by the concierge to thank Monica for expediently relaying my request to marketing, though.

I chose to believe that Gregg wasn't 'pulling my leg' and that "Oh My" is in the system, just they do the DJ thing for only an hour among other things like announcements, so a limited number of songs to be picked.

I'm going to go to at least two more games, so I'll keep the faith that it can still happen
(It might play when I'm not there to record it too)

Since the very first time I started doing Haley related things, I've tried to keep my expectations low, preferring to look on the positive things that happen instead of wallowing in what 'could have happened'.

I guess I've been spoiled by the positive twists and turns in my Haley expeditions, so I really shouldn't complain

It should be said that part of the reason my trips have been so enjoyable is being able to meet and share 'Haley love' with other Haliens along the way. Much more fun when you can enjoy something with others

It's just the signs leading up to this were looking so good and the Mariner's employees were so helpful, that I expected it to happen. Oh well, maybe I'll hear "Oh My" during one of the next two times I see a game. (though it was a hard sell to talk my buddy into arriving so early, 2 hours, before the games, just so I can hear a song @ the stadium, we left at 4 didn't get back home 'til after 11 )

I might not be able to go that early next time as my next two games are on week days and the friend I'm going with doesn't get off work until 5 (they take the MarinersDJ requests between 5 and 6 )
