Halien Shindig II came a bit closer to reality last night when Babbs had a chat with Wheeling's Village President and friend of the Reinharts who they actually got up to sing with them last night (Dean). Babbs mentioned that we are hoping for Haley to sing with Midnight in Heritage Park in 2015 and he replied: "Yeah, we'll make it happen!" and Babbs said: "It costs a lot to bring in Haley" and he offered: "We'll have the funds". So it sounds like if the Park District isn't able to foot the bill entirely then the Village will make it a joint venture. Of course that would take a bit of intergovernmental cooperation and I could guess the Park Board might want it to be exclusively their event BUT IT LOOKS LIKE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER THIS WILL HAPPEN.

My chat last night with Dean, the village president, was short, and just a friendly wishing for Haley to play at the opening of Heritage Park. He is a big fan of the Reinharts. Who know what may develop, but I figured it couldn't hurt to mention it. Smile

I'm in. I say we all just share one room this time, lol. Some (not me) have already proven they're happy to sleep on the floor. Plus we all stayed up half the night in someones room anyway. Tongue

That 12' x 12' grey tent in my backyard could sleep 6 1/2 people comfortably:

If I had a say in scheduling I'd be shooting for the 4th anniversary of Haley's Hometown Celebration May 14th 2015 and hope for much better weather than what she had that day in 2011.
