RE: Haley and Casey StageIt Performance - Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013
I just watched the original "Sail", I had no idea how they changed this song.... a whole other level over the original.
I mean, what Haley did with RITD and Tightrope had similarities to the original, but what they did with the source song for "Sail"??
Not even the same song except for the lyrics ....
I went away for a couple hours, it had a little over 200 views, I got back it was already over 650....
It looks like there is a WTF moment with this song for us all

RE: Haley and Casey StageIt Performance - Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013
My fear of losing something makes it hard to delete anything, so the memory for my camera was nearly full. I didn't expect them to play for over 50 minutes so I didn't get the last 5 min of the show.
Since I recorded the audio on my lap top I did get all of the audio.
They say that sometimes a misfortune is an opportunity waiting to happen, so I decided to make a video instead

RE: Haley and Casey StageIt Performance - Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013
Thanks Janelleypoo, Nick, stairway2halien and Tusk (great audio) for capturing the Caley Stageit show. I watched it live but between tipping and reading the comments, I could not fully focus. Plus I missed things the first time around. This performance completely embodies the very special relationship between Haley and Casey. Not only do they gel musically but they are true soul mates. Haley and Casey are extremely comfortable together. They are relaxed and personable but professional, which makes for compelling entertainment to watch not only for the music but for the interplay between each other.
Haley makes me love a beloved cover even more. On the other end for some covers she makes me want to listen to her version over and over when normally I wouldn’t pay as much attention to the original. Haley can sing anything and she never disappoints.
Casey’s musicality adds to Haley’s perfectly. I like “Wasted Tears” a lot but there are others I like better, but with Casey’s bass accompaniment and vocals to Haley’s interpretation, they injected a whole different vibe that made it one of my favorites. And with Casey and his guitar, Haley’s spin on “My Cake” was different but just as amazing as the previous versions. How many renditions of “My Cake” does that make it now. Anytime Haley scats only augments the mood for me and I like that Casey scats in his songs. All of this to go along with their beautiful harmonization allows for an incredible partnership.
I hope Haley and Casey continue to hook up and perform together often.

The Caley Stageit show was terrific from beginning to end. Loved every second. IMO, they are two of the most talented kids to come off that show.
Haley's voice is out of this world good. The way she weaves in & out of the chords and melody--just amazing. Her scatting is outrageous. She has a distinctive sound-just incredible. And Casey--he can do anything. Outstanding musician, wonderful singer & scatter, music arranger, scores videos & quite the entertainer. (Just saw him last month---what a show!) ETA--Plus they both are songwriters.
Together their musical chemistry is off the charts. They anticipate what the other is doing. They take turns doing harmony. They improvise. Both have a lot of humor and make the experience fun. The banter between them during the show was adorable.
I would love if they got together and toured or released some more music.
Babbsie, my dear, the review on MJ's truly summed it up, didn't it?
Individually, Haley and Casey are both so incredibly talented, but teamed up they are so very much beyond the sum of their parts, it's ridiculous!
Given how good they are together (musically), one can only hope they might realize that combining their mutual, musical formidable forces might benefit both.
But, of course, that assumes the rest of the population grabs on to what we already know.
