Ballas is apparently a singer-songwriter too who is dating singer/songwriter, BC Jean.

He seems partial to The Hotel Cafe, but isn't listed for any shows there this week.

I went to see my girlfriend sing at Hotel Café. She’s an incredible songwriter. She’s had some success in the songwriting game. She wrote “If I Were A Boy” for Beyoncé. She’s had some other great rock hits and what not. And she’s just an incredible inspiration to me as a musician and as a singer/songwriter. That’s how we met; we met on the singer/songwriter circuit. She’s very high up there and everyone knows who she is, and she really enjoyed my music at set and that’s how we got talking and then we started collaborating. We went on a few dates here and there. And it’s just awesome to see her in her element. She’s been taking time to writing so she hasn’t been performing as much. So it was really cool to go see her just take the rooms by the nuts. No one talked when she sang; she’s just that good. She’s, in my opinion, what a true artist represents, being able to make you feel a certain emotion. And that’s me being unbiased because I appreciated her talent before her and I started dating. She’s co-written 3 or 4 songs on the record. She co-wrote with me and they came out great. Lyrically, she’s just wonderful.

I may be a little myopic but isn't it ironic that just as Haley is finishing "Show Me Your Moves" she is coalescing with Mark Ballas, Dancing With the Stars phenom. Tusk mentioned how well the song would fit in the shows formate. Could this be an opening? It can be nothing but good for Haley as she touches bases with different players in the Hollywood entertainment industry.

Mark Ballas & Derek Hough have a band & have gigged some. This is all good, wish I could be there.

So, perhaps he meant the date of the show is today, and maybe this is the show with Haley he is talking about, but he does not mention her. In any case, hopefully Haley continues to make her Hollywood connections, which is all good.

Mark Ballas been promoting his own music while accompanied by Dylan Chambers. It's possible they were rehearsing for that and Haley just happened to be there. I notice he's followed on Twitter by both Haley and Casey. Wouldn't be surprised if they've all jammed together before given Casey's propensity to set up jam sessions.

In any case, the gig at the Crustacean is surely what the rehearsal was for. 4 hours long? Looks like there will be multiple performers (see below).

The Beverly Hills fine dining restaurant has drawn A-listers from the music industry from its start, in 1997.

...Red Hour is a six-week series of Wednesday evening concerts in the lounge of Crustacean, running from May 14 through June 25. The concerts are free to a maximum capacity of 60 VIPs invited by the restaurant and its media partners, The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard. Red Hour is expected to become a hub for celebrities and entertainment industry power players. (In the past two weeks alone, the restaurant’s dining guests have included Barbra Streisand, Blake Griffin, Seth MacFarlane, Ciara and Patrick Stewart.)

I noticed this when Pia tweeted about it. A couple of weeks ago Pia had tweeted Haley about letting her know the next time she was playing in LA, so she &/or Jared may have invited Haley to play this gig around that same time. Haley & Pia have always seemed really supportive of one another.
