Ole signs Haley to New Worldwide Deal! New EP!

In honor of Haley’s connection to the Number Nine, and the end of Dave Letterman’s show recently, here are my Top 9 Reasons about what is great about Haley connecting with Post Modern Jukebox. And, we start with Number Nine....

9. Haley is out there performing! Damn! What is better than that! Seeing her slay these songs in front of adoring fans. And she is getting back into the groove of touring and performing with a live traveling band.
8. Through her interaction with Morgan James, Ariana Savalas and other members of PMJ, she is really improving her stage presence, becoming even more striking and fun in performance. She is really meshing with PMJ and their sense of humor and fun onstage, and that will be great for her long term.
7. God bless Scott Bradlee and Post Modern Jukebox—a perfect outlet and channel for Haley’s sexy, jazzy style to earn new fans. Her videos have almost ten million views just on YouTube for her songs with PMJ, not even counting “All About That Bass” And millions more through Facebook sharing. All these new eyeballs!
6. All of her old fans from American Idol are rediscovering her. Haliens never forgot her, but millions of other folks wondered where she went, and now they know. She is still the Slayer. And she is coming back…
5. With new fans and her old fans, she is slowly building a base to launch her new EP later this year. And hopefully a tour will follow that will build on the success of her work with PMJ.
4. Because of the popularity of PMJ, she now has several more songs that people will want to see her perform like “Creep”, “Habits” and “LoveFool” in addition to new songs, “Listen Up” songs and some Idol classics.
3. Besides the fan exposure, her music with PMJ is at the top or near the top of iTunes Jazz charts She has popped up as trending topic on Facebook and she is getting Twitter mentions from Billboard, Time, Slate and other prominent outlets. This is Exposure that Interscope never got her, or even tried to get her.
2. Hopefully Haley is making some nice $$$ off of all these PMJ downloads, in addition to money for the touring. She's got to pay the bills!

Great post rmd1064... you nailed it. Since Idol I think many of us have wondered if anyone outside the Halien world would see what we see. PMJ has brought the world a Haley I'm not sure many of us thought would be seen for a while. It's been a wonderful surprise!!

Good stuff. Your mention of "F is for Family" made me wander if they didn't move the EP release back from July to be closer to that. Or maybe they wanted to wait until students of all ages are back in school after the summer break. If they did, that means they're putting some thought into it.

I would think they, Haley and Ole, would want to have EPs ready to head off to New Zealand and Australia in late August. The NZ-Ozy PMJ tour, which I think based on Scott's comments yesterday will include Haley, would offer a good opporunity for some early international exposure.

No, Scott didn't say Haley or anyone else would be joining that leg of the tour....hence, "I think". My thought was based on Scott comment that you cited. Given his obvious placement of Haley front and center lately, it seems unlikely that he would think people might not be disappointed if she wasn't there. Looking at iTune charts, the only 2 PMJ "singles" that show up are Haley's. Has PMJ released singles for other vocalists?

Also, to keep this on topic, I also "think" the tour would be a good way for Ole and Haley to put her new music in front of a receptive audience. It's only a few weeks out of her schedule.

Makes sense "I think" both benefit. Scott's albumns are charting on billboard and iTunes. He is out there in social media in a big way. I think it works for them for different reasons.
