Rather than doing a run through of the second night’s events I thought I might ruminate a little on how special every Haley encounter I have ever attended has been, this one included. I have never had a bad experience (well, other than that one time when I embarrassed myself a little and still get twinges of regret when it comes to mind—but never mind that cuz I’d rather forget it entirely), and moreover each time has given me memories both staggering in scope and small and fine like sparkling gems.
I actually thought the first night’s events could not be topped and did feel a little under the weather so I considered skipping Sunday’s show. At the last minute I decided I simply could not pass up such a rare and valuable experience and so headed over to the Cosmo. Traffic was unusually light so I got to the venue with time to spare. By now I have come to the conclusion that it is always worth coming to one of Haley’s shows because I am always surprised by some unique happening or special moment.
One small moment that stands out from the night was when I was able to tell Haley how cool it is that she will be playing a young boy named Bill (which is my name if you didn’t know). What could have been a throw-away moment became something more when Haley said something like (paraphrasing wildly here) Bills are good people. I said something like (sorry, the vodka tonic smoothed over some specific facts) yeah, they are steadfast guys, and we had a little laugh. I think we said a few other things which she punctuated with little elbow touches but I am even less clear on the actual words (gosh that vodka tonic must have had a bigger kick than I thought!). Regardless, the moment was perfect and a perfect demonstration of Haley’s comfort level with fans and her knack for creating good memories.
Oh, I could go on with the Haley moments and there quite a few, but what is really important is that these occurrences happen consistently. Rather than being unusual moments created by the perfect alignment of the stars and such, they are just what happens when one encounters a genuine person who actually likes people and is open enough to make real connections with them.
After the show, ISCAT, Airhigh and I had a wonderful conversation with Patti and it is clear that Haley is an apple that hasn’t fallen far from the tree. Patti is so caring and open that you can’t help but feel good in her presence and it is the same way with Haley. By the way, during our talk with Patti she wanted to send us the Reinhart Family Christmas album so we all wrote down our addresses. The funny part is that our writing was bad enough that we spent the next 10 minutes making sure Patti could read the info accurately. There was a lot of crossing out words and writing in her own versions she could read and writing over numbers to clarify what actual number they were. It was classic and hilarious. LOL.
Later we did some group shots with Patti, ISCAT, Airhigh, Nikki and Blake Lewis that I should be getting from Airhigh by email. Airhigh asked Haley at on point if she was tired of taking so many pictures and she said, in perfect Haley fashion: Oh no. Especially for YOU guys (!) I’m telling you, she has a real talent for making you feel very good.
In every single encounter I have ever had with Haley, I have always left with more than I ever expected. Unfailingly, what could have been just another gig that comes and goes becomes something truly special and something to be treasured, all because of a very special and talented young woman named Haley Reinhart.
PS: I’m a little jealous of Airhigh. He actually got a little serenade sung to him by Patti. It was another of those little moments that are so special.

First I would like to second Hmm2's appropriate remarks about Swansteel's posts they are always well received on my behalf. That goes for everyone else that takes the time to give us your thoughts, especially pertaining to the Regal Haley Reinhart; more about that in a minute. About the flowers: ISCAT & I had decided not to post about the flowers, we did want to come across to flowery ourselves but it looks like Haley had a different idea so this is what we stated on the card. "If only these flowers could match the beauty of your voice. Best cross-genre artist to grace this generation. You rock the music world. ISCAT, (Randy), airhigh, (Brent) on behalf of all Haliens". I wasn't going to mention that the lovely Patty Reinhart serenaded me either, it was the highlight of my night, but what can you do the Paparazzi's everywhere. he he. Remember this Haliens you just can't believe the urban legend, "what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas." In Swansteels defence it was heart warming to get to know this special guy better, he is a jewel of a man. Thanks Swan!

A few of my observations, night two: The PMJ entourage is a pleasantly produced ensemble of Highly talented musicians & performers that are extremely enjoyable to watch. They really bring the crowd into a frenzy of delight. Ariana Savalas had every man in the place's jaw dropping. She can really play the crowd, and has a lot of her dad Telly Savalas' acting instincts. The jazzy musical gymnastics are a joy to watch & I would recommend his show to anyone. This was Haley's first night with the show & she was presented as the featured soloist. She was amazing, as always, but you didn't get that Idol Tour effect because she hasn't been scripted into the act. If she were to go on the tour to Europe those acting abilities would be displayed again. That being said the crowd loved her.

You could sense that Haley had put in a long week in LA & that she was tired. Through it all, she stayed long after the gig, talking & taking pictures with fans. Making sure they were happy with the pics, all the little attentive things Haley always so aptly does, just watching her share so much love brought tears to my eyes. And guess what, Patti & Nikki are just like her, it runs in the family & its special. It was such a pleasure to see. Oh, Blake Lewis & Scott Bradlee have a little of that themselves.

One more note for now. A Haley fan from Vegas named Glenda brought her daughter to watch Haley. Her daughter, Hanna, is a professional photographer, she was taking a lot of still pics & they were amazing. She said she was going to post them on Haley & Scotts facebook pages. I hope she does because you will be in for a real treat Haliens.

Well I'm off to set up a drop box account, when it's done I will privately inform Tusk, Miguel & Rachel so they can access them. I hope there is something there they can use.

Cool, looking forward to it. How was the sound? past videoing at the Cosmo, the crowd noise was ever present. I might see if Team HaleyFans' audio guy can do something to dampen it so we can hear Haley and PMJ more clearly

Another nice thing about videoing from different angles is you also have two audio sources, hopefully one of the two won't need too much 'fixing' 'cause that's not an easy task without leafing audio artifacts from the process

The crowd noise is a problem @ the Cosmo similar to last year. We're hoping you can edit some of it out. ISCAT got the whole show Saturday night & I have some of the other performances, fingers crossed, still trying to figure out drop box. I will, but beat tonight, little sleep last night & long drive today. Should have it for you tomorrow. Thanks

If it's anything like before, then it's unlikely we'll be able to do too much without affecting Haley's voice, which as we know, shouldn't be touched, it's beautiful as is.

No Worries, though, get some rest, I know all too well that sometimes the energy you get from these Haley events mask just how tired you actually are.

Haley is definitely a pro at handling all her fans. She has learned well from watching her parents perform all these years as well as learning from AI "Star Boot Camp". . Everyone associated with her and her family are genuinely some of the nicest people Ive met.
It was through going to see Haley's parents perform that I was able to meet Himm and Penny, whom I consider my good friends now. And you can't help but have a permanent smile on your face when around Patti! She loves life!

I would definitely like to see PMJ perform live some day. I have read only stellar reviews of their live gigs and am so glad Haley and Casey have become part of their rotating cast of artists. (even if it's temporary, who knows) I hope Haley can join them for some of their tour in Europe. Definitely a win win situation IMO

I just want to add my thanks to Swan, Airhigh, and Iscat for filling us in on all of your fun happenings this past weekend. I loved your recaps, and that's pretty cool you were able to hang out with Patti for the show too! Thanks for recording, can't wait to see the vids.
