Somehow she or someone working for her had to get her the F is for family, Chase and Wrigley gigs which is a total game changer.

Vince Vaughn contacted CAA and heard their recording of Haley doing a Charlie Brown impression & Ole' got her the Chase Placement & Wrigley contacted Ole' from what i understand.

I think we should also consider another reason why it was so slow for a long time after Interscope. Obviously all the things Ole and Haley and whomever else is in the works behind the scenes had to set up things, take the time to make the connections for them to bloom now, but...

...Conjecture alert, based on nothing more than my opinion.....

I think it's possible that even though Interscope ended their relationship w/ Haley, she still had strings attached that meant she didn't have full freedom just yet. A ways back, someone posted a video about record company contracts and advances given to the artists, for things like travel, lodging, meals, putting together a band and such. That is "Advances" and not a salary or payment, otherwise know as a loan...

Haley was w/ Interscope less than a year, probably had no time or opportunity to 'pay back'.... heck other than Lollapalloza and a handful of small festivals, Interscope had Haley traveling to radio stations, many of them in studio, so not even wide exposure. She had no time and no real opportunity to start bringing in income to Interscope

"Everything happens for a reason" so maybe the 'dark period' after Interscope, Haley was tied in to what ever agreements she had to complete, including, perhaps, paying back the 'advance' from Interscope, before things could really get going in earnest with her own career....

So yes, it sucked that there was that really slow period after Interscope, but it ultimately worked out as far as timing w/ Ole, song writing camps, PMJ, touring the world and now this, with Wrigley, all the while, Haley now has the freedom to make her own decisions, draw her own opportunities. The negativity of Interscope was lemons Haley turned into her own 'electric lemonade'

Bummer that Haley can't be two places at once. She was offered to sing Can't Help Falling in Love on Dancing with the Stars monday but she'll be in Philly. Some other singer will sing it. It's a different format that won't work next week.

I'm confused. The Monday theme for DWTS is halloween. The lineup for tomorrow doesn't indicate any dance, individual competitor or team, with Can't Help Falling in Love as the music. Further, the song just isn't a Halloween song, so even if it was to be a filler performed by the professionals, it doesn't fit the theme.

Anyway, the career gain for Haley appearing on DWTS, in general, could vary greatly depending on the placement/blocking, etc.

Low end: Haley sings with the house band in the background for one of the "lower end" couples for a boring waltz with no camera exposure. She gets a quick acknowledgment from Tom at the end, barely overheard while the audience is only politely applauding the dance.

Better: (no pun intended) A fantastic dance performed by one of the hot couples. Haley gets a good intro, some camera shots, the crowd goes wild, and Haley gets a good send off at the end.

Best: Haley gets a big intro from Tom, emphasizing the "viral sensation," Haley is set on the floor, with lots of camera exposure, while 2 of the professionals dance around her. At the next commercial break, the long version of the gum commercial is aired. This would be a home run and possibly a career changer. Don't forget Wrigley and BBDO are major players, and ABC loves money from advertisers. Win-Win.

So, without knowing which scenario was meant to be, and if it really was to be tomorrow, how can we assess any business decision connected with it?

Also, doesn't PMJ have a couple Mondays open during Haley's first part of the tour? Still a possibility?

Anyway, I think the Philly gig is a great honor, with the possibility of a lot of exposure. Hope there is good video coverage.

Me too, hopefully it's a big enough event for good footage and coverage, in the age of the internet, if it's a big enough event, there's a fair chance someone might stream it... As it's to honor one of Haley's Idols, it'll be thrilling for her and would be great to see her pay homage to an idol

Let's not forget, there'll be good exposure, with the attendees that will be there, more networking, more opportunities, hot off the success off the Wrigley's gum commercial

Yes she may need a good manager in the future but for now I'm confident in Haley and her parent's decisions.

Maybe I simplified this too much and the future is now, but I'm just saying I'm confident in the Reinhart Team, however soon the roster gets expanded, and Haliens don't need to interject what must be necessary for Haley's ascent to the rigors of superstar demands...if that's what she feels she needs for a happy life.

I'm not even sure if all Haliens are looking for her to be a superstar.Or what actually defines a superstar.Was Amy Winehouse considered a superstar because she is still the best analogy that I can think of to compare to Haley in terms of what I would hope for her in terms of the potential to do something unique and uncompromising and still achieve the level of popular success that Amy did.

I know what I'm looking for from Haley (and it's likely the same for all Haliens), and that's simply to hear her SING. That's it, basically. And hopefully in person. As much as possible. I honestly don't think that is in congruent with Haley's own personal goals. As a fan, and someone who has invested some effort in being a fan (not nearly as much time and money and effort BTW as many here), I'm hoping and rooting for her to be successful. REALLY successfully, but also happy.

I don't propose to know what drives Haley, and how she defines success. If I had to guess, I would think those goals would be pretty lofty. She did finish 3rd (and should have won) on the most popular show on TV (at the time) and I have to think it was thrilling for her to be viewed by so many people-- but I don't really know. If those goals are lofty, then I personally think the time is now for her to be proactive (John astutely pointed out earlier about Haley letting opportunities come to her) in terms of appearances, gigs, schedules, etc. Ole (who is motivated by $) will do, I'm sure, a good job of pushing her work into the marketplace. But their expertise is only one aspect of a successful music career.

As fans, we experienced the time before SMYM and PMJ when we DIDN'T get to hear Haley sing as much as we hoped for. Despite her incredible talent, her future success is NOT guaranteed. Now is the time IMO for her to be super (or hyper) aggressive to ensure that she achieves whatever level of success she desires.
