Did you notice that two contestants tonite sang "Can't Help Falling In Love" and "House of The Rising Sun". Both made the top 24.
If Haley is Mentoring/Dueting next week, I sure hope her strep throat that caused her temp to get up to 103 degrees is completely gone by then.

...NOW we have the names of the Idol alums who will be mentoring and singing with the second group of 12 singers on Feb 17 and 18. They are: Constantine Maroulis, Chris Daughtry, Kellie Pickler, Jordin Sparks, David Cook and Haley Reinhart. A bunch of favs right up in there!

The Semifinals part 2 will be filmed on Feb 11. Watch out for spoilers! Next week’s Semifinal part 1 performances and results have already been filmed.

On Wednesday, Feb. 17 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT), the second group of 12 semi-finalists – Jenn Blosil, Amelia Eisenhauer, Trent Harmon, Lee Jean, CJ Johnson, Adam Lasher, Tristan McIntosh, Dalton Rapattoni, Olivia Rox, Manny Torres, Kory Wheeler and Shelbie Z – get their turn.

The following night, Thursday, Feb. 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), former IDOLs Constantine Maroulis, Chris Daughtry, Kellie Pickler, Jordin Sparks, David Cook and Haley Reinhart return to perform duets with the second group of semi-finalists before the judges reveal who is moving on in the competition and who will be sent home.

Maybe they mentor them the first night and perform with them the second?

So I haven't watched Idol at all for the last 2 years.....ever since the new judges came in the whole show is just different and boring. But I plan to watch it that day to see Haley and probably the finale to see the big ending of the whole series. Other than that I am really not interested in the show itself anymore.

I think most of us feel that way. As do many others -- Idol is knocking many weeks off the season this year. It'll end in early April.
