Haley & PMJ - great exposure...what does the future hold?

Since @pmjofficial is its own genre, we have our own charts. Here's the most viewed videos from last week, according to #YouTube

I guess this could go here, because it coincides w/ Haley joining PMJ (Habits video came out on January 13) being a main reason and the beginning of a significant rise in views on my channel

My channel started seeing an upswing in views (laughable how excited I got w/ the numbers then than what i get now )

This month, my channel got 249K views and 958 subscribers in 28 days

700K+ views on my YT, a high of 211 new subs in last mnth, upwards trending, new feature higlights "Habits" in Vegas

On February 5th, I reached the plateau of 700K total views on my channel (in over 2 years)... since then, as of today, I have 2.7 Million lifetime views.....

That's 2 million views in a little over 10 months! #ReinhartWorldDomination

Haley's never been better positioned (outside of the Idol bubble) to step out on her own. But it will be difficult to top 2015 without the help of PMJ. I think her best hope might be opening for a "name."

Is that easier said than done if you're not affiliated with a major label? Maybe it makes sense for Haley to sign with a label -- if she has that opportunity due to CHFIL -- mainly for that reason?

Some comments I found on the Internet:

Actually, back in the day, bands on the same label generally toured together. Cheaper for the Studios to present 2 or3 or 4 of their own acts at a venue instead of just one. Simple business really. Which is how Jimi Hendrix ended up opening for The Monkeys on his first American tour...

Opening acts make more sense at smaller shows, where the headliner isn't extremely well known, because the people going to those shows are more interested in the music and the scene.

Opening acts for bigger shows, where the headliner is huge, make less sense cause you have all these part time fans who just want to see their one and only favorite band and could care less who or how good the opening act is.

...we got introduced to opening act The Police via new wave headliners The Cars. Now that was a cool concert.

...We knew The Cars, having seen them on TV shows like Don Kirschner's Rock Concert, so we knew their live shows could be "mannequin-esque". We presumed any such opening acts would be, I dunno, actual mannequins. Thus, when Sting and the boys hit the stage, 17,000 of the hippest kids in the tri-state area did a simultaneous double-take. Granted, it would take a few songs to tear some of the stragglers away from their conversations and such, but when the lights went up some forty minutes later, the entire arena sat in slack-jawed wonder. The Police were impressive, to say the least, but in rocking us off our collective asses, they had just ruined The Cars for us.

...That same year, we'd also seen a completely unknown band called Iron Maiden open for Judas Priest.

...And then slowly, ever so slowly, an odd thing happened. We noticed that less and less thought was being put into opening acts. More and more, we were showing up at shows to see bands that had gotten the gig simply because they were on the same label, or shared the same management.

...As a result, we stopped showing up early enough to see the opening acts, which we used to do without exception. The thrill of being turned on to some cool new bands completely went out the window and we came to look upon opening acts with complete disdain. That's a huge change from we could respect a new band based on the fact that they'd opened for certain bands that we already liked.

When Rachel and I talked about the subject of Labels w/ Haley in LA, she was indicating that she and Ole were still considering multiple offers with the consideration of pushing CHFIL into the European radio markets (she told us that it was very rare to get radio air play in the States w/o paying for it, which was what CHFIL was getting )

She also was saying that she still hopes to get an LP instead of an EP, but that's still yet to be determined. In San Diego, there was talk among a couple of the people I talked with about getting a band together (withholding the details because there seemed to be confusion regarding specifics)....which would indicate plans for a tour, which I think would be more likely to happen if a label was involved, as opposed to Ole, a publishing company, organizing it.

Also, looking at who appears to be part of her management as an indicator, Haley appears to be looking for partnerships with which she has final control, so it would follow that would factor into who she and Ole decides to go w/ as a label to help them facilitate their plans.

I think a trust has formed over the last years in Haley's partnership w/ Ole, that Ole will be her main advisory as to the direction, whichever label she choses will be secondary, basically the hands of the operation with Haley and Ole being the brains.

Haley has, in her history, shown to be extremely loyal, so I don't expect her PMJ relationship to be ending anytime 'soon'. Sure she may make fewer videos and fewer PMJ tour appearances, but I doubt we've seen the end of that partnership in the near future. Scott and Haley, I'm sure, are acutely aware of how successful they are together than apart

We Haliens discuss frequently about how great the PMJ exposure has been for Haley and it's true it has. On the other hand Haley has been terrific for Scott and PMJ. This is a list of the top jazz iTune PMJ sellers and how they chart as of Sept 13, 2016.

Haley has certainly made herself at home with PMJ it would be nice if they continue to collaborate from time to time.
