We had a blast! She picked great tunes to do together- the album is going to be great!

So either Scott will be on multiple (more than one) songs on HR3, or they recorded a few and Haley would pick at least one to put on the album?

(Since Haley performed Black Hole Sun on tou before we knew it was also her PMJ cover....is it possible they record that song for HR3 also? Her tour arrangement w/ Scott on the piano?)

I think Scott will be heard on more than one song. He's a busy man. I don't believe Haley would ask him to learn and record a song she didn't intend to use. The verb "picked" does suggest the album will include covers. I don't think they will include BHS. It doesn't fit the "homage to the sixties" and there is an existing recording of Haley performing it (in slightly different form).

I think there will be a couple new originals, a few covers we've never heard her take on before and a number of covers that we know she can do great justice to.

I've been listening to Keith Richard's autobiography. In it, he relates how The Rolling Stones were hassled by the police because they were seen as a corrupting the youth and inciting them to violence.

Album-related comment on IF found by PJ:

I was at the show in Amsterdam last night and she revealed some details about the album and performed two songs that will be on it.

First of all, she mentioned once again that the album will be released in the summer and that she will start rolling out some tracks in the coming months. Exciting stuff!

She performed two tracks off the new record and they happen to be covers of two 60's tracks:

1) Baby It's You by The Shirelles (which she also performed on idol back in the day)
2) For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield (That's where the "What's That Sound" comes from, probably the album title)

This leads me to believe that the album might be a cover album of 60s classics? We'll just have to wait and see!

Other covers she performed during the show were: White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane and The Letter by The Box Tops. But only Baby It's You and For What It's Worth were explicitly mentioned by Haley during the show as being included on the album.

In Berlin she also advertised the album directly and explicitly something like three times during the show, along the lines of: will come out this summer, make sure to follow to get it when it drops. I cannot remember her mentioning release of individual tracks early at that occasion in Berlin. It also remained less clear whether the covers she played are on the album, one could have read it that way because she talked about the album when she performed them but I don't think she explicitly said they were.

So we've got "Black Hole Sun" "Baby It's You" and "For What It's Worth" as songs on the album. So looking forward to this..
