Happened to look in my Spam folder, Google mail has been sending the Idyllwild newsletter there.... look what I discovered?

Did you stay in Idyllwild when you went? Or some distance away like Palm Springs?

I stayed in Palm Springs (the airport I flew into)...I think, (but the motel was ...."rough" ), I had no interest in a long drive to return to the airport, otherwise, Idyllwild would've been a nice place to stay...the drive to the venue was a fairly long one, about an hour long drive, up hills, winding roads, only two lanes. Luckily, it was also on a Sunday so the chances of traffic or wrecks was lower.... I can imagine if it was on a week day, the drive being much longer is a possibility.

Looks like it's pre-sale. *Discounted* $75 including tax.

The Palm Springs airport is convenient compared to LAX, but flights are expensive from where I live. Though I did a cursory check, realistically I won't make this because I have a week-long vacation planned about a week later.

Yeah...for an hour show, and "at least" $75, plus the drive, plus it's remoteness (no Wifi) definitely factors to consider...

My trip, I did notice how many things could've 'gone wrong' compared to other, more straight forward events I've been to, everything went perfectly (except the motel was sketchy...palm springs is seasonal, at the time, it was mostly empty). The Weather wasn't too hot, it wasn't overly crowded, the bulk of attendees went Friday and Saturday, I bumped into Haley and Drew shopping and got to spend time with the Haley and the Abrams... It went as well as I could've hoped (even knew the event lady who did Morgan James' Newport Beach show, so she gave me better access )

I don't know if this time around, it could be better, I can at least hope that it wouldn't be worse

Bad news, apparently @HaleyReinhart & @CaseyBassy have been taken off the #JazzInThePines Sunday lineup

I heard this yesterday, double checked the web page

I DM'd them, cause I and a few others bought the tickets to see Caley. Doubtful there'll any kind of refund, but we shall see. I was about to book my flight this week for that show, so I guess I 'lucked out' again finding out before I did.

Schedule-wise, Casey and Haley couldn't make it work this year...Everybody's feeling bad about this. Next year.
