I’d actually been thinking about “cleaning up” my channel, removing some of the lesser, “older” videos. After all I have over 700 and they’ll not come up in searches or “suggested” videos. Compared to what I’ve been able to do with #TeamHaleyFans’ help, some are a bit...”embarrassing”? how poor the quality is .

But a few weeks ago in Idyllwild, Pam, Casey’s Mom, introduced me to a friend. She said I was a “videographer” for Haley, but then corrected her self, “actually, he’s more of an ‘archivist’...”. That kind of stuck with me...reminded me the ‘value’ of some of my early “imperfect” videos, as a record of Haley’s post Idol evolution (and source of some fond memories when Haley performances were few & far between)

**for those who weren’t around, John’s choice was from a set at Haley’s 3-day residency at the Cosmo in Vegas, it was Haley’s first public performance after Interscope dropped her. At the time, Haliens were in shock, Haley’s only appearance after the Interscope release was a Thanksgiving parade in Chicago with Patti. Before “traveling to Haley shows” (Vegas was my 5th & 6th shows) became my thing, I decided to go and get video from the show to show Haliens that Haley was going to be ok. I told Haley so when I talked to her on the first night. She still managed a smile but you could tell that the release still affected her. Once the show began and Haley saw that she had fans that came to support her, you could tell her spirits were lifted

Specific to that Moanin’ performance, it was performed the 2nd night, I’d only recorded 3-4 songs that night as opposed to the whole set. The reason was, before the show, Haley asked me how the videos were from the first night? I told her Haliens loved them. She said “good, that means tonight, you put the camera down and enjoy the show”

I protested, “What if you perform different songs? Will you be performing different songs?” She smiled and told me she would, but would let me know when she does so I can record it...Moanin’ w/o Casey was one of those songs .

Also, this was the trip that was HUGE in my own version of Haley’s Journey, the beginning of #TeamHaleyFans Journey. This was the show I first met Greg Williams, his wife Mona & Ken Smith, and Tim who recorded BGDays, Vegas and Citywalk AND helped me come up with the TeamHaleyFans group name for the videos ... very important pieces to the TeamHaleyFans story....archivist indeed

At the end, you see me trying to get Casey's attention. His mother, Pam, made me promise I would tell him to announce that he'd be signing at his merchandise table (Casey was the only musician that got a merch table this year for some reason Haley shared the table w/ Casey...really only had WTS cds and the mushroom stickers. Pam told me why the musical acts didn't get tables, but I can't remember, they had to insist Casey have one)....regardless, Casey was in the moment and I couldn't get his attention
