Donna Bledsoe in the middle (home from Arizona)...the cousin of one of my son's best friends thru middle school. Chatted with her, Nick, Don and other Bledsoes along with Angie last night at Midnight's PS Pub Christmas Concert. Haley was at a birthday party in downtown Chicago. Patti played Santa with her sack of gifts wearing my Santa Hat.

Happy International Woman’s day. I’m enlightened by the progress that is being made, and in the process of being made, for equity and respect in the world right now. Woman give the gift of life.. don’t forget that boyz.. and girls. We are all miraculous communicators, workers, lovers, fighters, creators. And it is mind boggling and infuriating the years of oppression have lasted so long, that I am sitting here writing this right now. I know I’m not alone when I say, in all honesty, throughout my life I’ve had to try harder than the average man to get the listening ear and respect that I deserve.. In spite of all this, the strength we have that has pushed past and overcome those barriers to fulfill our dreams and a meaningful life, says more about our MIGHT than any man could. we’re past the fucking 1900’s.. woman aren’t a serving tray.. and I can say that! & a Thanks to these righteous females right here for showing me the way and always standing up for yourselves, your backbone and spunk has helped me find power within myself..
