@CaseyBassy top 5 favorite songs?
Quote:Bohemian Rhapsody, Tribute, Everything in it's right place, One mo gin, autumn leaves
Since Jack Black and Tenacious D are Casey's favorites, I'll assume this is the "Tribute" he's referring to
There are many Autumn Leaves, I'm guessing Sarah Vaughan's as it's Jazzy and scattilicious
Or it could be this Autumn Leaves by Chet Baker & Paul Desmond

RE: I'm Casey and I just got signed.
^^^^ I think Casey does always mention BR and Autumn Leaves. There are tons of versions of AL--so I guess he could be referring to various covers of it. Great song.
I listened to the RadioHead & the D'Angelo song. I don't know--just ok for me.
BTW, Casey will play the Iridium jazz club in NYC on 2/20 & 2/21. Two shows each nite. I might head up to see him. Maybe Haley will be in NYC too & show up!

^^Thanks, Tusk, for uploading a viewable, or rather listenable version. I don't care for bing, but that's where my computer seems to go.
BTW, I listened to the Chet Baker/Paul Desmond version that you'd uploaded. Just lovely .... while you'd think I'd gush over Chet Baker, it's Paul Desmond's tone that makes me melt. I'm reminded of a sax playing friend of mine, saying (decades ago), "oh, I wish he wasn't dead!" It seemed like an odd statement at the time, and still does, but I can relate.

I can't find one simply with Cannonball; the Youtube listings that come up primarily are Cannonball with Miles Davis.
I listened to 3 versions and am hazarding the guess that this might be closest to what Casey liked (largely because of the walking bass in it):
EDIT: I hadn't read far enough; Casey does mention that Miles is on it. However there are different versions with the two of them playing it; I suspect this one is closer to what Casey heard, than the one with more of a Latin tempo.
I should have read it since I posted it-lol I just thought it was the same bio that usually accompanies a tour date. This one is more detailed I believe.
It's weird because a few days ago I was listening to Cannonball A. Somebody posted a youtube of himself playing brushes to Casey sidewalk session of L-O-V-E. This guy was playing brushes on the cover of the famous "Mercy Mercy Mercy" album. I thought it was kind of cool and was going to send the link to Casey--but figured he won't see it cause he's in Ethopia. But, I listened to Mercy Mercy Mercy--havent heard that album in a long time
