RE: Listen Up! "Free" possibly on the radio
Google translation of the article "Après Idol Haley Reinhart dévoile Free" in French site Pure Charts.
Quote:After "Idol," Haley Reinhart unveils "Free"
She impressed people last year in the tenth season of "American Idol". And if she failed to win against two candidates country, Haley Reinhart has attracted media and public with a style all her own. Today, she released her first single, "Free".
During the first week of the tenth season of "American Idol", you can not tell Haley Reinhart has amazed the audience or jury. But quickly, the candidate has progressed and is an outsider, even if the jury had a funny way of encouragement. Where other candidates were covered with praise regardless of delivery, poor Haley, 19, found himself too often criticized.
But ultimately, these critics have not always based may have helped the young artist. More surprising in its services and safer with her in the show, she impressed the audience with times sounding pop, rock, soul and jazz sounds that his fans find themselves in his first album, expected soon. And it comes to releasing the first single, "Free", a title that remains far from the trend-pop electro-dance and delight fans of more retro titles.
Remains to be seen whether the girl will remain a large number of candidates TV hook-American to stay in the shade or whether, instead, she will know as Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert or Chris Daughtry's success despite the defeat. For now, fans can be optimistic. His label seems to believe in her and has already won passage in the series "90210" and on several talk shows. If the radios support it, "Free" may well become her first hit.

Teehee -- so much for a Google translation. At least the pronoun, as incorrect as it was, remained consistent.
Snarkiness aside, it's pretty amazing that the French are paying attention to an American singer. Does that mean they think that she's tres chic as well?

Beats the heck out of looking each word up in an English-French dictionary. I had changed a couple of "his" to "her" but had enough of that. Click the link if you prefer the original French.
You are correct, John -- it does beat having to look each word up. Not having used the Google translator option for something of this length (and not having used it for a long time), I didn't realize that there was an opportunity to revise it. By nature (not by trade), I'm a proofreader/editor, so such things tend to leap out at me.
