Those poor horses were inducted into the Army and made to work until they died that is so sad. There was a scene when these horses were pulling this Canon up the hill and one of the horses fell to the wayside. So they just shot them and got another horse, sad to say but that was reality. And yet there was some horses in the Korean War that hauled mountain guns and howitzers uphills along with their ammunition. They were made to work but they were also given rank Sgt. Black beauty I hate to see amounts of pain inflected on mankind and also animals. But it is a good movie after all Spielberg directed. It.
