PSA: Computer Speakers

I previously mentioned I broke my external computer speakers a couple of months ago. I looked for an affordable replacement and found a setup on Amazon that was highly rated and priced at $37.99.

One of the reviews mentioned though they had paid more like $26 when it was on sale. So I've checked periodically to see if it was any cheaper. It hasn't been until today.

I pulled the trigger on this because I have Amazon Prime and get free two-day shipping. There's also no sales tax currently (Amazon reached an agreement with Texas and will begin charging tax next month). Plus I had $16 remaining on an Amazon Gift Card.

Oh, yeah. My other reason for buying today: Tusk said Listen Up! is heavy on the bass and I found some higher pitched parts of Undone to be uncomfortable to my ears when played over my laptop's internal speakers.

^^ I found if I listen to Undone in iTunes I can use the equalizer to make it more pleasing to my ear.

I noticed the Heavy Bass mostly on "Oh My" and "Liar" as those were what I listened to in the car. It wasn't all the bass, just some, enough to be surprised by it as soon as Oh My began.... I heard it in two cars, so it wasn't the settings.

Fortunately, it didn't drown out Haley's vocals...hard to tell if it was done purposely, or it was a production oversight...

Not as noticable on headphones. I have relatively 'thin' walls so haven't played it on the home stereo out loud. (When I bought the condo, sound was not supposed to be an issue )

Edit....playing "Oh My" on my PC speakers and the Bass is definitely there....it's not like it's 'sonicly' 'too loud', but it's the "could vibrate things if turned up enough" kind of loud.

weird, it just seems unnecessary....maybe it's just me.

Those should be nice, i have speakers but they are small (they do the job)

Omg I have a story about that! One of my friends is a bass player and one time while she was performing, I guess the bass was turned up high because the guitars on the wall were vibrating! Just thought I'd go offtopic and tell my random story hehe
