Melody has always come first for me... I feel like it inspires the rest of the material. But there have been times where I've started with a title in mind... for ex: Check Please!

In this case I wouldn't credit any ONE thing... I believe success comes along when you tap into ALL of your gifts/hidden talents/passions/etc... I feel blessed that I can be a part of so many remarkable projects & maintain my own brand. I also have great fans like you to thank for coming to my shows and buying my records. Thanks again!

if I had a vote I hope she puts all new unheard originals and unreleased demos from her past.
I know we kept asking for Time of My Life, but honestly I can do without it. Especially if it would take up the space for a potential unheard song on the album. Same goes for Last Kiss Goodbye, she even mentioned herself that it could be just a stand alone single like show me your moves was.
Just my 2 cents. the more the better.

I have hope that LKG signifies a direction that whatever they produce highlights her voice, some of her earlier, unreleased songs would be amazing candidates for HR4.
Yeah, it seems Haley's happiest w/ Better, her Baby, and I agree, an album more like Better with a couple songs that are just Haley w/ simple accompaniment
OTOH, from a marketing stand point, I wouldn't mind one or two covers. For a new artist, that's how you bring new ears to your music, sing something they recognise. Otherwise, I'm all good for as many Haley originals as we can get

My reading between the lines was that she was feeling pretty darn confident that she'd be able to put out more albums in the future without a huge sucess right away on each one... that she wanted it, was going to do it, and wasn't afraid it wouldn't happen.
Her responses all seemed to be about 'pacing' not at all 'if' . Like she expected to eventually release a holiday album, not 'would love a chance' .. and not like she felt it needed to be this year instead of 2 years from now.
From the way she answered the 'more commercials question' it seemed to confirm that they were a pretty good meal ticket and had more already on the way at various stages of interest.
She definitely confirmed that "Better" was her favorite and she sees others like that in her future.
... but I also took notice of how she responded to your ('Tusk') question about Spiderweb ... that it was a Rob Kleiner coopt and that she'd like one of those to get traction.
IMO, she's all about the pacing to have a firm foundation as a song writer as well as a singer and wants to be able to have made people money ... as there is a currency in that gratitude that opens other doors ( like getting recommended for a Bond movie etc... that takes some push I imagine beyond the directors whim).
I heard lots of goals and a person with plans to keep putting irons on that fire ... some of them albums for the art sake and some of them financial security and some of them influence.

Actually, my question was about "Liar" the only song from Listen Up! Haley has never performed Live ("Follow Me I'm Right Behind You" was also never sung live by Haley, but it was on the Deluxe album, which not everyone has and blocked in some countries.)
It was nice to learn that nugget about what I think is a very under appreciated song (I even made a video to the opening of a Bond film w/ FMIRBY playing, to show how it should be used as a Bond song). I think she likes colllaborating w/ Rob Kleiner.
