Oh, Babbsie, dear (see here, see here), sometimes such perceptions are merely that. I am proof of that. (Please note, I will never be a great dancer, at least not in the SYTYCD fashion, but that doesn't mean that I can't move -- and groove -- to the music. It is harder and makes one hip hurt -- but that hip tends to hurt no matter what, so what the diff?)
I know, the routine that you watched may seem complex, but for the dancers in the video, this was probably a piece of cake. Who knows -- maybe they were annoyed that the choreography was so simple (and for a dancer, it is).
But the whole point of National Dance Day is first, to get people to move, and second, to make you think that you can actually dance. And I love that! So many people have closed themselves off to an ability that they may actually have, but have decided they can't do for whatever reason. In some cases, some of you may be correct, but I'd wager that more of it has to do with an erroneous perception that stayed with you. And that's truly sad.
Anyway, I struggle remembering routines, but for "real dancers," that's unlikely an issue.
And who knows -- maybe next year, Haley's SMYM will be the music for one of the National Dance Day routines -- fingers crossed.

While Quinton's trombone "offerings" definitely aren't the best, I still think that BCJean should not sing. She has some very unpleasant intonation issues here.
