Get Well Soon Buzz... we need you buzzing again - Himm2 - 10-31-2013

Buzz contracted Anaplasmosis from a tick bite and is on antibiotics. He also had to start dialysis to deal with his kidneys not working. So he's in recovery mode now. Guess you could say he's ticked off at the tick. I wish you a speedy recovery Buzz and don't be too concerned about attempting the long solo drive in a weakened condition as our 4th for the Chicago Theatre, as I think I can find a ticket taker.

Anyone here interested to join Babbs, Penny & I for Nov. 21st?

The other day I noted Buzz's absence to myself and wondered where he had gone. Sounds like nasty stuff. I hope he's back in the saddle soon - but not riding anywhere ticks are to be found.

I, too, had noticed Buzz's absence and wondered what was up. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. Dis joint ain't the same wid out cha.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers as I recover. It's hard to believe that a tick bite could take out the remaining kidney function that I had. I just returned home this week after a one week stay in the hospital. We went through the whole range of emotions over the past 2 weeks. The first night in the hospital, and at that stage I was pretty delirious from the fever I had for 6 days, the doctors told Mrs. B that there was a 90% chance I wouldn't make it if I had what they thought I had. They would know the next morning after some tests. I don't remember that, but Mrs. B told me how close I came. Thankfully the diagnosis changed the next morning.

I might be down for a little bit, but I'll keep checking in here at HF for all things Haley, with a little side dish of humor. And don't be taking it easy on me...Buzz still needs to be kicked around a little just for the theraputic value and the fun of it. Tongue
