"no permissions" - Miguel - 02-13-2012 Received a "no permissions" message? The problem may lie in the content of your post. Look for words that may have triggered a spam filter. It happened to me yesterday and another user today. Here's what happened to me: I attempted to make a post and was surprised to receive a message stating I had "no permissions" and something about a 404 error code. But I could make a test post in that thread and start new threads. So I then examined the content of the post. It was about Whitney Houston and contained the name of a well-known prescription drug that begins with an "X." I've concluded a third-party plugin I use to filter spam likely prevented the post and the message board software inelegantly responded because the two are not thoroughly integrated. RE: "no permissions" - Miguel - 02-18-2012 I attempted another post tonight where I encountered the "no permissions" roadblock. In the post I quoted extensively from the NYT. I attempted to edit various words to no avail. I then looked in my control panel for a list of banned words but didn't find anything. A search on the web indicated that might not be the problem. I will have to do more research before I can find a solution. |
