Commenting on "Haley Haters" - Miguel - 03-16-2012
I understand the temptation to do this.* But the focus of this site is Haley and not her detractors. So posts about them may be deleted in order to preserve an overall positive atmosphere. Below is a post by Tusk that contains some wise words on this subject.

All these exchanges do is give similar haters a platform to rally around (and there are fewer and fewer..we even had some converts as posted on IDF).
Haley and Interscope have given us ample evidence that she no longer needs AI as some sort of representation of legitimacy in the industry.
The Overwhelming positive response speaks to this. When was the last time we saw this level of approval of a new artist, without having put anything out. Scotty and Lauren's roll out were positive, but not near as over the top as has been received for Haley. James' roll out, although I pull for the guy, was like someone rummaging around in a dark room, stumbling and no direction.
Bottom line, not so much Haley's "Que Sera, Sera" attitude, I've taken on the philosophy that "The Best Revenge is Living Well"....Haley will reach across the continents with this debut those pitifull admonishings will sound more and more petty.
Let those haters scream into the night how much they dislike Haley. Let the industry and other artists do the talking for us, Hater's snipes will be shown for what they are: bitter, hateful and uninformed.
Where they stand will become a lonelier place. Let them stew in the refuse coming out of their mouths. We've got more pleasant things to listen to.
"Listen Up" is a perfect title for her debut. Thinking about how well Haley has been treated as a true artist makes it easier for me to ignore the opinions of those sad, wretched few.

Sorry, Miguel, that is not my intention. You shouldn't have to delete your post. I was just airing out my opinion as I've taken to bypassing those comments anymore, because for the most part they are just trolling for reaction. Even on TVline, you can see someone post that kind of nonsense and most people move on anymore and continue to talk about how they love and look forward to Haley's album.
I think what you have posted is relevant as a teaching tool as to how wretched and inaccurate most of these negative posts by Haley haters are. And as a way to tell other Haley fans to ignore these types of posts. It is a natural reaction to defend those you love, so yours was not an uncommon reaction...It's just a good way to tell other Haley fans to just let it go, because it means nothing in the big picture....heck the Beatles had tons of Haters...even Elvis wanted Nixon to deputize him so he could give info and spy for the FBI about the Beatles(the Beatles were his main competition at the time), so Haley is in good company as far as that goes LOL
That's how they should be treated, glaze over and move on.
You should know me by now after all these months, once i get going, I can go and go and go. I would hate to think that a post would cause deletion. Unless, there was threat of violence or over the top vulgarity, I'm all for freedom of speech and opinion as long as the discourse is genuine and civil.

Depends on the tone and extent.
"Professional" critics are certainly open to criticism though. I for one am waiting to see what Joey Guerra, "Music Critic for the Houston Chronicle" and Haley hater, tweets about her performance next week.

Do we know that Randy "hated" Haley? He made a bunch of stupid, unkind, and untrue statements, but isn't that par for the course for him? He's a fool -- he demonstrates that every single time he opens his mouth.
A day or two ago when we were discussing her return to the Idol stage to perform her new single, someone had mentioned that she would get her revenge, and yet, at least publicly, that is not the impression that Haley's demonstrated.
I agree with Tusk and think that it would be best if we, her fans, followed the high road example that this extraordinarily mature 21 year old has shown in the past year. Her talent will shine and garner the attention that she needs (we're already seeing that).
Let her detractors say what they will -- and they will. Whatever our station, we all deal with that, to some degree. (I suspect Adele's had a few leading up to the Grammys this year, and that may continue into the future. But she now has six [count 'em six] Grammys and how many European equivalents [?] for one album to combat with?)
Perhaps, when confronted with a situation that seems particularly disagreeable, we need to adopt the "WWHD" (what would Haley do?) mode. And follow that with your best full/semi/quasi/pseudo (whatever) Zen state that you can master.
