Scotty bitchin' about the beach
Newsday reports:
Quote:“American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery wasn't happy about getting tapped for the daily fee to hang out on Long Beach before his appearance at the “American Idol Live! Tour 2011” concert taking place at Nassau Coliseum on Tuesday, August 23 at 7 p.m.
From June 18-September 5, anyone 13 years of age and older must pay $12 to take in the sands and ocean past the Long Island boardwalk (between 9 a.m.-6 p.m.)
Although this is common practice, the winner of ‘Idol’s 10th season took umbrage and handled it in most modern fashion: he tweeted about it.
His first post on the matter stated: “chillin at Long Beach, Long Island and you have to pay to go on the beach? I ain't never heard of such.. #criminal” and was soon followed up with expanded criticism, tweeting “and the beach ain't even nice. tractors going over the sand, planes flying over head makin noise, n no waves. OuterBanks, NC > LongBeach”
“OuterBanks, NC” refers to the beaches of Outer Banks in North Carolina, where there is no usage fee (and also no parking charges).
An hour later, his apparent rage unabated, he added a third tweet:
“just think if they made Christopher Columbus pay to pull up at the beach.. what if he didn't have his wallet on him like me? smh..”
However, after checking the 17-year-old country singer and North Carolina native’s Twitter page, there were no more tweets on the subject, nor any mention of other issues with Long Island pricing -- including anything concerning the $60-a-ticket cost to see his “Idol Live” Coliseum show.

Scotty also tweeted about the earthquake:
Quote:@ScottyMcCreery
just experienced my first earthquake in new york. I’ve lived in Cali for the last 4-5 months.. I woulda thought it would’ve happened there.
Then he tweeted:
Quote:@ScottyMcCreery
Matthew 24: 6-7
Matthew 24:6-7: Quote: You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
No bible mention of Scotty and Lauren defeating Haley? To me that seems like a clear indication we're living in the end times.

Scotty single #2 released
Quote:Scotty tweets, “a lot of yall have already found out, but.. here’s the news anyways, haha…My new single “The Trouble With Girls” is gonna be hitting radio tomorrow! Listen for it, request it, and lemme know what you think!
Great title. I don't like the song though. It's another ballad:

Or cut and paste this into the address bar of your browser, then hit enter:

Seems like an obvious ploy to market to his base.
For his sake, I hope there's better material on the rest of his album.

Scotty and Thia -- TMI
TMI = Too Much Information
Quote:“When you first meet (Scotty), he seems a little more quiet and reserved but once you get to know him he’s really goofy. He’s really down-to-earth and humble. He’s really cool. He’s really funny actually... [but] he’s really pretty quiet around me...,” observes Thia.
Scotty has his sweet moments though that even Mommy Cynthia, who gets excited everytime the topic ScoThia is brought up, can never forget.
“Scotty has a thing about girls and pooping,” narrates Thia. “He doesn’t like the fact that girls poop. He tries to ignore that fact. And so our studio teacher during the tour, she made a sign and she put it on our classroom wall and it said: ‘Pretty Girls Don’t Poop --Scotty McCreery.’ So the night I got eliminated...We all said our goodbyes... and he [Scotty] whispered into my ear and he said, ‘By the way, pretty girls don’t poop.’ So I’m going to miss him telling me that!”
