I debated whether or not to do this, but I felt it wouldn't hurt to try. I set up a gofundme page in hopes some could help me pay my deductible to fix my hail damaged car. We got hit with the storm of the century last week.
I know it's not the most serious matter, but when it comes to my finances if there's someone who'd like to help I'd certainly take it.
On Thursday October 15th, 2015, an unimaginable storm hit our town in Palmdale, California. It started out as just a lot of rain, lightning and thunder, but then turned into 60mph winds and almost golf ball sized hail came pouring down upon us, on top of flash flooding all across town. My car unfortunately got nailed pretty good by this insane hail storm. There are dents big and small, all over my roof, trunk, and hood of my car. Never would I have imagined my car getting this damaged from a storm from living in Southern California. But, it did! I know I am fortunate, for it could have been a lot worse. Thankfully my windows didn't get cracked, and a lot of homes got ruined by flooding and mud, ours did not.
I just recently paid off my car and am in no place to afford a newer one at the moment. All this damage to it helps it lose it's value for when I do plan on selling it in the future. Thankfully, I have been told it can be repaired, and my insurance is going to help pay. But on my end, I have to pay a $500 deductible, which is a lot of money to throw out at once at the moment. I also do not know how long I will be without my car. I might have to pay gas money to friends or possibly get an Uber to take me around town in the time being if it takes awhile.
I would truly be so grateful for any donation to help me offset these costs and also pay my deductible to get my car repaired! Thank you for reading this!
