It gives me GREAT sadness to give this news today. My show that was scheduled for Saturday, November 17 at the Sinclair (a new venue operated by the amazing folks at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC) has been rescheduled for January 20, 2013 at the Royale due to unforeseen construction delays at the Sinclair. Me and the fellas were SO excited to end our US/North America run with a SOLD OUT show in an amazing city that we have never headlined before! My manager and my agent have spent the last 48 hours SCOURING the greater Boston area for a place that could host the show and all 500+ people, but sadly, with only 4 days notice, we all came up empty handed.

All that to say... you, my fans, are my #1 priority and concern. Those of you who have purchased tickets to the show at the Sinclair can either get a full refund from the venue, or hang on to that same ticket for admission to the Jan 20 show. The Sinclair has also offered to give a one-of-a-kind silk-screen poster to all those who come to the Jan 20 show who purchased tickets to the Sinclair show, free of charge.

PLEASE know that this decision did not come lightly. Playing live is what drives me... so this news weighs very heavy on my heart. But I promise to come back to Boston and make it up to each and every one of you!

This isn't the first time The Sinclair has rescheduled a show.

October 26th:

Quote:Bowery Boston will announce later this afternoon that THE SINCLAIR, their 525-person Harvard Square live music venue and restaurant, will delay their opening more than two weeks to November 14 because of “unexpected construction delays.” That means the first official show at the newest rock club in Cambridge club will be with the Tennessee roots rock band Dirty Guv’Nahs and not the Meters with Page McConnell on Tuesday night.

Overall, the nine shows originally planned for the Sinclair between October 30 and November 12 have already found new venues, according to Josh Bhatti of Bowery Boston...

...We look forward to welcoming The Dirty Guv’nahs as our first artist on Wednesday, November 14th.

Saturday's show in Boston was canceled. I bet Chiara was trying to change their travel arrangements.

Southwest just changed their policy (11 months ago, with no notice) of allowing you to cancel a ticket and rebooking. To explain, my grandson was to travel to Phoenix at Christmas. He's now not going. My daughter said ''No worries...we just cancel and then can use the credit for up to a year.'' That was the good ole' days. When she called SW to cancel it, they said no can do anymore. She is now out $500.! It turns out that my grandson is afraid of flying, and only HE can use the ticket even though he's not the buyer of that ticket. It would be nice if airlines announced this in a big way when they decide to change their policies. Buyer beware!

They still say, "Unused, fully refundable tickets that do not carry restrictions may be applied toward future travel or refunded within one year from the date of issue."

Maybe she bought a different type of ticket this time.

I had to cancel a Southwest flight a couple of months ago, and while they don't refund the money, there was a credit with Southwest for use on a future flight. I rebooked my flight the following month, and used the credit
without problems. Maybe it was a promo type of ticket she bought like Miguel suggested?

All said SW is still the way to fly.

I agree midnight, cheapest fares, make sure you check in as early as possible to get A or B group and you're pretty much guaranteed an aisle seat. I fly too often for business, and use them fairly exclusively.

Wow!!! Thanks for this news...and thank you Yanni5 for your input! My daughter LOVES Southwest and travels on the airline as much as she possibly can. This event happened 1 1/2 weeks ago, and shocked her. It may well be that the Refunds dept. address was only recently put up there in light of the fact that so many have complained about this. It wasn't a special ticket...just standard, and she's done this countless times in the past. I'll inform her right away! Really appreciate this! Oh...one more thing. The person she was speaking with said that this policy has been in effect since 11 months ago. Yet you, Yanni5 had no problem just recently. (scratching my head!). Anyway...will let her know right away.
