GOOD NEWS - BAD NEWS:

The Great News is I couldn't have timed my approach to State Street any better and was in the right place at the right time. Across from the Atwood Cafe a black limo pulled up as I was walking and Harry Reinhart emerged from the back seat and saw me immediately with a greeting & a handshake. I asked him if Angie was with them and no she had something going on back in Wheeling. Haley then got out of the front and greeted me with a hug and she looked like she was waiting for a question from me and all I could think of was: "I hear Atlantic might be picking you up!" and she responded "OH, is that what they're saying?" and I said "thats the twitter buzz". Just then Patti gave me a warm hug & a kiss and asked where I'd be. I said I have your cell and she said "Oh I didn't bring mine and I'll be on the float" "Harry give Steve your cell". Haley walked into the Cafe so I didn't get another chance. Harry didn't know where he would be but gave me the number. I found a great location and left a message for Harry.

The Bad News is for some reason my hi-def camera only captured a half a second video burst of Haley & Patti passing by and talking to Marcus the TV guy that was riding with her getting ready for the WGN interview. I thought I had at least 2 minutes of video and I was yelling "HALEY" "Haley" but she didn't hear me to look my way. Oh Well the first part of my Thanksgiving day adventure was well worth the trip. Here's the only screencap I was able to snag from my video burst:

That's ok you couldnt get a video, I saw her live on tv and they will have it online soon

I think the greeting in person makes up for not being able to film them as they pass by during the parade.

I'm still conflicted whether to feel happy or sad for Haley ATM. My brain says be happy, but my spirit still feels an empathic sadness...especially reading her response to you, "Oh, is that what they're saying"

It has a tinge of ....."betrayal", of "....I tried my best but it wasn't good enough."

Yes, my 'overthinker's' hat is on, and I'm probably reading too much into it...

Eventually I will get over at the disappointment/mistreatment on the part of Interscope, and realise that they were just a means to an end. The vehicle on which Haley began her professional career.

Himm, you are always at the right place at the right time! Of the whole parade route and Haley's limo happens to stop right near you. (Maybe you knew ahead of time) Even when we went to lolla, the ride downtown was very easy, everything was perfect, and we got right up in front of the stage.
