agree...Haley was incredible. Pia looked fantastic too in the 1st video...what a voluptuous body and great voice. Season 10 had a great final 12, all so talented and they sincerely adored each other and still remain good friends.

I always feel a little bad for Pia. She is a pretty girl and seems to be a very nice one. She just doesn't project much charisma onstage and almost comes across as invisible. Haley, on the other hand, is electric up there and draws your attention right to her. Some people just have it.

Sir SwanSteel (oops, I'm going to have to come up with a different way of addressing you -- the acronym isn't -- umm -- desirable; I'll work on it ), Happy birthday to you!

You're right. Pia is a beautiful, young woman with an extraordinary voice who never comes across as comfortable when she performs. Which is unfortunate for all, particularly her, since singing seems to be what she wants to do.

On the other hand, Haley just loves being in front of an audience, and -- funniest thing?? -- it happens to be a reciprocal arrangement.

One of the reasons that I'm so interested in Haley's success is that I grew up knowing someone (she is the trumpet teacher I've mentioned in other threads, but, actually, she's filled many roles in my life, the most important of which is a dear friend) who also had that same kind of action/reaction with an audience. My friend didn't have the opportunity that Haley's had, so as I follow and hope for Haley's success, I also ache a little for my friend. (And, folks, it truly is a friend -- not me. I was excruciatingly shy, so would probably would have rather had something like a root canal without benefit of pain killers, than have the type of interaction with an audience that Haley and my friend engage in with such ease.)

The fact that smooth-talking extroverted audience-loving Haley also would like to be a motivational speaker shows the difference between Haley and the wind-up beautiful doll that Pia is.

Yes, Haley does seem to be an extrovert. If I recall correctly, Pia admitted to being a bit shy when she was on AI.

Being shy isn't necessarily the same thing as being an introvert, but, perhaps, therein lies Pia's difficulty: an extrovert garners energy from interaction with a lot of people; an introvert has energy "sucked" from them by the same thing. Perhaps, Pia's really an introvert, doesn't know it, and her "lifelong goal" is in direct conflict to her "inner/real" self.

that was great! All the girls looked 100% into the show that night.. but Haley was spectacularly playful.

I wonder if some of the treatment she got from edits and in the press made her a bit gun-shy off camera (and rightly so). It seems like so many gossip sites are just lunging at a way to make a singer look like a "b tch" that if you say anything vaguely sarcastic you're risking thousands of types of teen fans etc.

I loved on idol when she brushed off the "bottom three stool" like it was an old friend she hadn't seen for a week !

But, for whatever reason I think lots of people don't like that rakish kind of attitude ?

Anyway.. great video.

And, I think she's getting more and more comfortable with each club she plays. She shows a bit more of a confident way about her that exudes that she's both in charge and(yet) there to give You (the audience) and that she's going to give you the show you're really going to love. Maybe some people saw it that way all along but for whatever reason, I see a steady improvement to something I'm most comfortable with. No surprise that practice leads to more finesse with anything.
