I think that comment was put on Casey's Facebook, it was what looked like the same type of people that couldn't see past their noses with whatever rage they felt for Haley

With the placement at Yahoo and other sites Haley's video is getting a wider viewing audience than with the typical fan postings we are used to viewing. And with that comes the critics, the haters, and the trolls. A troll at Yahoo who has the handle "Commenter" posts more than anyone and makes critical remarks about Haley and the video that are inconsistent and stupid. Just throwing things out there and seeing what gets a reaction. Brace yourself for the Youtube comment section if this stuff bothers you.

I think it can be useful to engage and enlighten with some of these folks or to use their comments to make points to a bigger audience, but we should keep in mind some of the troll types are just stirring things up as their idea of fun.

In some ways SMYM is probably a controversial song for Haley to release as a single. It is a style of music that not everyone is going to embrace. Some will object to the "direction" she is going by releasing the song. Of course, we know that Haley flows through multiple channels and goes in different directions. Perhaps she should release a country song one of these days to keep everyone off balance.

Yeah just because Haley sings a pop song it really doesn't mean that is her direction. I wonder what reaction peeps would think if Scotty McCrery released a Hip hop song.Total Pandemonium?Trolls are brutal.

Yahoo has the worst trolls. Honestly. I know we all hate reading negative stuff about Haley, but those people aren't even worth it.

Also, people clearly didn't listen to "Listen Up" if they think this is selling out. Haley's influenced by all sorts of different genres, but she said that before the show she wrote R&B music. Her first album is a retro R&B pop album. This song is as well. That's Haley's sound. She'll dabble in other genres and everything will always be hard to put in a box with Haley..but it's become evident, given all of the music she's written..that this style is what Haley prefers for herself.
