There will always be those who will hate no matter what. For whatever reason it is in their nature. A person just has to take it with a grain of salt and as Harry and Patti say, ignore it.

Sorry to change to a different subject but still relevant. I remember last year when a video came out about what the Nebraska Football team did for a 7 year old kid, Jack Hoffman who is/was battling brain cancer, at their spring game. They arranged to let him in for a play on 4th and 1 and allowed him to symbolically score a 69 yard touchdown. For most people a touching moment, but the Youtube video had some haters that posted despicable comments about the situation, mainly because of their prejudices I think. The worst ones were deleted. It has 1800 dislikes basically the same disapproval percent as “Show Me Your Moves”.

Haley is a beautiful person with not only a lovely voice but also a lovely heart who gives of herself whenever she can. As far as I’m concerned it is their loss.

The others who like Haley, but don’t appreciate this particular song and/or video just need to look at her whole body of work, which I understand is difficult with little official promotion but still wonderful, and then judge about who she is and the direction she is going.

Late to the party: I am out here right now deep in the woods of Scandinavia and the internet bits are trickling in one by one (actually it is totally amazing to even have a connection!). But I finally managed to watch the video ONCE on my mobile phone.

And I wouldn't worry too much about what exactly it means for Haley's career. I don't think it is the big defining moment in any way. It is totally what really creative people do, they have these ideas and they have fun going for them - just as Haley describes it. I think that is way more interesting and way more Haley than any supposedly shrewd career plan. I am impressed that they pulled this off, it is not a small operation, and it takes people who know how to do it. Good to see Haley part of that. That is why I also wasn't worried about whether Haley wouldn't be center stage enough (now we see she totally is). It is a joint project by artists and they were dedicated enough to jointly do this, around the idea and the song. And then they put it out there. Haley will be in lots of other contexts and do lots of kinds of music as we know she does. I wouldn't have followed her so closely for years now if she did not have this very special thing that convinces me every time and that gives me great pleasure and joy. Anyway, I was slightly critical of the way she ran the campaign etc., but always supportive, and now I am totally impressed and even more ready than ever to give her the total benefit of the doubt, if ever there should be one. She put her time and energy the right places I feel. Very happy.

Idol fans are some of the worst haters unfortunately. I first discovered about AI forum/blogs etc during season 7. The 1st blog I ever saw was on comcast page. I'll never forget some of the things being written in the comments. I was beyond shocked at the vitriol and just straight out insanity of it all. I can see where political comments can get that way--but over contestants on a singing show? CRAZY

I understand that fans that have certain musical preferences. They may want the Jazzy Haley or the Rock Haley or the Blues Haley etc. Hell, she can sing almost any genre. There is no way to please everybody. Some may actually like the song--it could be the arrangement they don't care for that much. Personally, I like the jazzy preview of the song she did at Room 5 better than the arrangement on the video. That's just me cause I love jazz. I love me some live Haley. Her voice is so incredible. But, I still really enjoyed the version used on the video as well.

Anyway, it's upsetting to read what some people write and how shortsighted they are. They will get over it though. Haley's talent will conquer all. There are very few who can sing like she can.
