@HaleyReinhart Excited for you to make your french quarter festival debut.
Quote: French Quarter Festival
April 9-12, 2015
What began as a small celebration for New Orleans’ most famous neighborhood during the 1984 World’s Fair has since grown into the city’s second largest festival, drawing more than half a million people each year.
Promoters of the French Quarter Festival have taken to calling it “The World’s Largest Block Party!” Musical stages and other attractions spread over the five or six blocks between Bourbon Street and the Mississippi Riverfront, and spectators are free to come and go at will as they would at any block party.
In typical New Orleans fashion, French Quarter Festival has evolved into a celebration of all of everything this cosmopolitan city has to offer: lively music, fabulous food, colorful and imaginative art and, above all, a good ole time is on the calendar for the weekend of April 9-12.
During this 32nd Annual French Quarter Fest, more than 1,500 musicians will be performing on 21 stages between Bourbon Street and Woldenberg Riverfront Park. More than 60 food and beverage vendors will be set up in half a dozen locations offering a wide variety of Crescent City culinary delights. Some of New Orleans' top artists and artisans will have their talented work on display and for sale, and there will be fun activities for children to enjoy as well.
Music
Always the highlight of any New Orleans experience, the 1,500 or so musicians performing at this year's FQF will be spread out outdoors on more than 20 stages between Bourbon Street and the Mississippi Riverfront. Some of Louisiana's top musical artists will perform Cajun, jazz, blues, rock, gospel, zydeco, funk, country and just about every other genre. Even classical! All of which are genres that were either born here or incubated here in their infancy.
All of the participating musicians are exclusively from New Orleans and elsewhere in Louisiana. No outside acts are ever brought in. Here are just a few of the other top names that have confirmed for this year’s French Quarter Fest and the dates on which they will be performing:

(or do they use Euros in France instead of Quarters)
