It is funny how the view counts go on those FB videos. It needs to get shared to a bunch of people that also share it to go viral. A video needs a bit of luck. Case in point: it is the second FB embed of Opps that had a viral phase, one that was put up a couple weeks earlier has about 98K views as opposed to 4M.

My initial thought was it's mostly a matter of catching the attention of people with more followers. But there have to so many more variables than that: the time of day, what's in the news cycle, what's occupying people's attention personally, etc. I'm sure FB has crunched the numbers and found a number of interesting insights.
